Maybe 2 Index to set up what you draw, or some Augers of Bolas?
Without a draw card after index it isn't so good imo.... I thought about Augurs, but, my creature base is full as is and I don't want to replace any of them with the merfolk. I thought about them both in the beginning, but, they just ended up getting cut. Index was a possibility for awhile though....
