I am well aware; I have not played it since but it is one that I am going to start working on sooner or later.

Myr Battlesphere is your Tinker target to close out games once you have the lock with Time Vault; also note the 4 artifact creatures it makes when it comes into play. (gives gas to Golbin Welder)

Tezzeret tutors for Time Vault & Voltaic key, whereas Goblin Welder is there to recur things if needed. The main thing I use the Goblin Welder for is when you play Gifts Ungiven you can get Goblin Welder, Time Vault, Voltaic Key & Yawgmoths Will.

Dack Fayden I am just testing out right now.

Sideboard gives you:
- Grafdiggers Cage - Oath / Dredge
- Ingot Chewer - Mud / Time Vault Decks
- Yixlid Jailor - Dredge
- Flusterstorm - Combo / Control
- Lightning Bolt - Creature Decks
- Mountain - When you bring in Lighting Bolts and REBS
- REBS - Control / Blue Decks
- Massacre - Hatebears / White Creature Decks
The sideboard is by no means perfect, but it has been working for me right now.

The main point of the deck is Time Vault/Voltaic Key or Goblin Welder/Mindslaver to lock out the oppponent.

The other thing to realize is only a few of us play here and it is really only for fun, it isn't anything serious.

He works as a tutor most of the time but you do get the odd win from the March of the Machines effect. I used to run two but I cut down to 1 for this and up'd the Liliana count.

Tere are times when you play him and just -4 for trading post.

I can't see myself playing that card, you could lose quite a few turns due to drawing mana, Chalice of the Void, Voltaic Key and other sub 3CC cards.

Doesn't do a whole lot for the deck.

They cancelled due to father's day... will be playing it this Thursday instead.

I am not sure about Prophetic Flamespeaker yet; it may been better then Hanweir Watchkeep. I have never played with the werewolves before, when I used to play it I use Gathan Raiders & Rhakdos Pit Dragon.

If I had Imperial Recruiters I would probably play Painter or Alluren; unfortunately I haven't acquired them yet. You may want to add a Jaya Ballard to your deck, she is a good tutor target.

I actually really like it as a main deck; it will make any game a lot faster. Also the fact that it negates life gain is a bonus.

Only cut I would make is minus one vortex for the fourth flame rift.

Possible sideboard cards,

Umezawa Jitte's (good for mirror or other creature decks)
Blue Elemental Blast (goblins)

Also sub 4 islands in maindeck for 4 mutavaults. (really good with all the lords)

Possibly put spreading seas in the sideboard, if it could really hurt a decks mana then I move it to maindeck but I really wouldn't main deck them.

4x Aether Vial
4x Daze

Are a must for a competitive merfolk deck.

4x Standstill is nice for some draw.

These are not really needed.
4x Stonybrook Banneret
4x Lullmage Mentor
4x Brainstorm (could substitute for standstill but not as good)

Use forked bolt over galvanic blast then for the option to split it.

I tried one like that didn't work so well. The new goblins really are just terrible, and this is coming from someone that plays goblins in every format.

-4 Raging Goblins +4 Gobin Lackeys
-4 Skirk Prospecter +3 Goblin War Marshal +1 Aether Vial
-4 Lightning Bolt +3 Aether Vial +1 Mountain
-2 Forgotten Cave +2 Mountain
-4 Goblin Guide(mana is bad to give away if not standard/extended) +4 Goblin Ringleader
-2 Siege-Gang Commander +2 Goblin Stingscourger
-2 Warren Instigatpr +1 Goblin Sharpshooter +1 Mountain

You want about 20 lands as you don't want to miss a land drop at all. You are at least playing legacy with your list so Aether Vials and Goblin Lackeys are key.

Goblin Guides are bad because of the format you don't want to help get more land in their hand, not worth the extra damage.

Stingscrougers give you some creature bounces and should let Lackey swing in turn 2. Goblin Sharpshooter is good versus other creatures decks and Goblin mirror matches.

If you really wanted to have the perfect mana then this is expensive but...
4x Rishidan Ports (ability to tap their lands)
4x Wasteland (kill non-basic lands)
-each is like ~30 dollars each

Sideboard:
- any graveyard hate (dredge/reanimator)
- any blue hate (a lot of control decks)
- Jitte (best equipment)

I've never liked Quest for the Goblin Lord personally and think Goblin Bushwhackers are better.

Searing Blaze is better then Burst Lightning I think.

Possible Sideboard Cards:
> unstable footing (pro red decks)
> richochet trap (playing against counters)
> runeflare trap (decent against decks that draw a lot)
> goblin ruinblaster (turboland killing valukut is the best, or messing up Jund's land to)
> combust (if you play in a heavy UW control field for baneslayer)

"This is the template for a standard mono red goblin deck."

Meaning Goblin Kings are already out, and pretty sure Goblin War Strikes are as well.

Aether Vials are out and would of been illegal anyway and Lackeys are not legal either.

People should really read the description as to what the deck maker is trying to do before they comment on their decks.
