Deck Description

As the title says, this is a "blink" deck. What you do is use your cards to blink some of the creatures with entering the battlefield triggers. What "blink"ing does is - cause a creature to become exiled for a time and then re-enter the battlefield at a later time. This is cool because there are lots of blue and white cards that you can use to do this. I have not tried this deck before, but I did notice that there is a lot of cards that support blinking. I put a few in the side-board for you to check out. There could be a few hidden gems that this deck could procure.

How to Play

There is not a big secret on how to play this deck. Get your entering the battlefield creatures out early. Then later use the blink spells to exploit them. Draw and Scry 2 for a while until you can amass an army to attack with. There are 17 cards to blink with and 18 cards with entering the battlefield triggers. So, this deck can have a great variety of plays. My favorite is to use Stonehorn Dignitary to prevent your opponent from having an attack step and thus make his creatures become blockers for most of the game.

Deck discussion for Azorius Blink Deck in Modern

Would Faerie Seer work instead of Sage of Epityr / Overwhelmed Apprentice ?
They have flying that could be useful with the equipment.

I've played sage of Epityr for years :)
It's served me very well in decks with a minimum of fetchlands.
It has become a bit harder to play it since field of ruin started to support ghostquarters, but if played carefully it streamlines your deck. Since this is a blink deck, the sage can continually create value as long as the deck can somehow be reshuffled.
I might start flirting with overwhelmed apprentice for the same reason one day, as I often play mill.

You need to play around with the lands to activate the displacer's ability.
