Hay every one this is the fifth installment in the Duel Deck series. This time the phyrexian plague has almost completely swallowed the land and the only thing stopping them from absolute victory is Darksteel. I hope you enjoy the decks and as always comments and suggestions are welcome.
Phyrexia: what better way to deal with indestructible creatures then infect. Be aggressive but be smart, do not take pot shot at a strong darksteel creature just to weaken it, the darksteel deck may have a lot of high mana cost creatures but that does not mean they cant get them out quickly. Use contagion engine to double the -1/-1 counters on darksteel's creatures, poison counters and the +1/+1 counters on yours. Spinebiter can rack up poison counters quickly and end the game. Pyhrexian swarmlord can help make tokens for every poison counter your opponent has. Reaper of Sheoldred has a nasty side effect for being damaged, whispering specter can empty your opponents hand and stop there strategy dead in its tracks. Overwhelming stampede gives your creatures a boost and gives them trample. Darksteel. Darksteel thrives on strong creatures and thats exactly what you get with this deck. Quicksilver amulet can get many of your high cost creatures out for just half the price, and as early as turn five you could have the mighty darksteel colossus out ready to attack. The arcbound creatures are the backbone of the deck when one of them die they leave behind there strength. Slayers' stronghold and sunhome, fortress of the legion give some extra utility. Darksteel juggernaut gets even more powerful for every artifact in play, so those 0 drop ingots do have a propose. When phyrexia has one of there best creature out darksteel mutation can turn that powerful creature in to a useless 0/1 bug.

Phyrexia is so OP when dealing with Darksteel If you were to have Phyrexia as infect, then only a third to a half of Phyrexia should be infect

Thats true, ill have to play around a bit and see what i can do.
I love the idea though, and if this were a real duel deck, I would totally split with someone so I could get the Phyrexia deck

I really love your Duel Decks.Though I have to say that I must agree with Sorin: infect beats darksteel. Indestructibility doesn't matter against infect.Otherwise this is cool. Looking forward for the next part.By the way: Now I got feeling that I want to create Budget Duel: Mirrodin vs Phyrexia. Is that okay with you?
