Oh man I have never seen that card Progenitus, it looked really badass. But can you survive all the way to him with only counterspells?

Clearly you don't understand the deck. Progenitus is just fodder. You don't cast him. The key is to get a blighted agent in play and keep him there. You attack with him and cast a blazing shoal and feed progenitus to it or a dragon storm. Death by poison. Everything else is about keeping the agent alive. Of course you could use the inkmoth for the same thing if they can't block him.
