Definitely a fan of the discard aspect. I would consider putting doomblades in instead of terror. Same mana cost, but you can kill artifact creatures.
I really like what you've done with it. I don't know if you might want to consider angelic accord. That's the focus of my life gain deck, and it works really well.
I like the deck, but there's a couple changes I would make. Spellheart chimeras are must haves for izzet, and if you want the deck to be standard you'll want to take out the steam vents. I also might recommend nivix cyclops instead of fluxchargers since the cyclops pump more with instants and sorceries. Otherwise I'd say the deck looks pretty good.
