Deck Description

My Latest Deck that I've been wanting to make. It started as a Mono-Black Vampire Deck, but after being trounced again and again by Mirran Crusaders and the like, I decided to make it Red Black so I can hit those pesky Pro-Black creatures while leaving the option open to hit my opponent too.

--Sideboard--
-Black Knights are SB against white decks in general so they cannot constantly block me wave after wave with Pro-White creatures.

-Shatter are for anti-artifact like Tumble Magnet and Contagion Artifacts which have been giving me trouble in the past.

-Nighthaze is against other decks that run Black so I wont have to worry about being blocked at all. As well as it provides a slight draw to the deck for 1-Black.

-Vampire Hexmage never hurts when I need another one in my deck.

Have thought about trying to fit in Hexmages, but I would prefer to keep the mana curve on this deck around consistently pulling on 1-drops and only a few 2-drops.

Advice and improvements are welcome to suggestions.

Deck discussion for T2 Red/Black Vampires

i would lose the seer and replace them for night hawks, i think you need some vampires that boost up you other vampiers as well. i would take out the galvanic blasts and add a lightning bolt a burst lightning and anouther swamp. also blade of the bloodchief is an amzing equipment to have,,,

I honestly tried running Nighthawks in my deck at one point, but they hardly ever got to see any play-time at all. Not to mention Seer goes really well with Kalastria Highborn. I would also put Bloodghasts in here, but I would prefer to run either 3-4 and I only have 2.

From personal experience, the Gal Blast's additional burn has helped me out a lot before too.
But if I had more Bloodghasts, I would definitely replace them.

Yes the ideal would be 4 Bloodghast and 3 Seers, you dont need the 4. For the Galvanic Blast I rather have Arc trails, but thats a personal choice since my meta is full of Kuldotha and Rush decks. One thing I see missing is Vampire Hexmage the ability to destroy all type of counters makes it good agains the obvious Plansewalkers to the lesser Tumble magnets and Ascenssion Enchants. Ah and it has First strike so it will trade with most blockers.

Again, I'm lacking on the Bloodghasts. If I had more, I would run them. and as for Hexmages, I'm still working on getting them at all.

and where i live, i see more control than i do Kuldotha a Rush decks. and this is really my first attempt at a deck that is even a bit aggro. I'm more used to control based deck since my main deck is my Blue/Blck Control: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=181869
