Deck Description

Use Living Death to sweep the board and end your opponent in one fell swoop!

This deck has morphed many times throughout the years to it's current form. there were many cards that worked well in it. in fact I managed to make two other very strong decks with the rejects that originally found their way into earlier versions of this deck. It's the one I pull out when I'm done playing around and want to end the night on a victory. It usually takes an hour or more if the opponent gets a good deal but, despite the lack of many duplicate cards, it's quite reliable. An old friend, I deem this one of my strongest.

How to Play

Let your opponent fill up your graveyard while gaining huge amounts of life, then use Living death to end your enemy's delusions of victory!
The cheap creatures offer a good early game. use ghost-lit redeemers for life right off the rip. swamp cycle twisted abomination (as you want to fill your graveyard.) Dauthi slayers are a good source of constant poking and stinkweed imps are decent defenders (their dredge also helps fill out your graveyard.) Then start setting up your life gaining enchantments for the long haul. They also take the edge off of phyrexian arena. The card advantage from the arena coupled with the constant life gaining make this a matter of time. Beseech the queen, demonic tutor, and crystal ball all help with deck manipulation to get whats needed when it counts. Mortify and grasp of darkness deal with would-be attackers nicely. Archon of justice can take care of any threat on the board (only thing in the deck that can deal with artifacts.) Fallen angel's ability is good for sweeping your side of the board and attacking the turn you use your living death. It also lets you kill the archon of justice/stinkweed imp when needed to remove permanents from the game/fill out your graveyard. Once you have 5 mana you're pretty much free to play anything in the deck. Enchantment destruction can be a problem as the enchantments in this deck help immensely. However, I've found the creatures are solid enough to keep the opponent at bay until you can turn the tide of battle harshly in your favor. If all else fails, Wrath of God can reset the battlefield to give you time to remove their graveyard and bring your army back. Just remember to get rid of their dead creatures before you turn things on their head. Tormods' crypt and nezumi graverobbers are great for that. Think of this deck as a death cult that promises its members the mastery of mortality if only they are unafraid to die. except their promises aren't hollow. Death for these creatures is only temporary. so use them as you will. don't be afraid to get them killed. they'll be back soon enough.
