Deck Description

MonoBlack Pain4Gain - gamble with your life and victory itself as you mercilessly crush your foes and frustrate your friends!

I wanted a deck that would kick ass quickly at a cheap cost, all the while risking victory in my schemes with lady luck. Though make no mistake; more often than not the devil's deal pays through.

Flesh Reaver is a -cheap- 4/4 drop turn 2. Want to be a dick? Not only negate it's nasty side affect, but double up by Vampiric Linking it. It deals damage? Gain that much life; when it deals the same damage to you, gain that much life too. Or Vampiric Link that bothersome creature of theirs and watch the hate blossom on your opponent's face.

Wall of Blood is a nice buff'able 0/2 wall for 3 that you can buff by +1/+1 for each life you pay. Use a Rite of Consumption to sacrifice all that blood and life to Hell to steal that sacrifice from another victim.

Swing big with Abyssal Persecutor early, then sac him to kill is effect and win the game! Doubly effective with Sad Sac. <3

Get used to only keeping one creature at a time!! Sac the ones you don't need for card advantage or to keep the field small - play Demonic Rising to get a free 5/5 flying token at end of turn.

Sacrifice your creatures for power and pain, then make your enemies do the same while slaying those that remain. And make them squirm by giving them tough choices to make with Dash Hopes and Temporal Extortion.

Get used to destroying your enemies - just be prepared to pay the price.

How to Play

1st turn - Drop land
2nd turn - Drop land, Play Innocent Blood to frustrate, Flesh Reaver to setup, or cycle Viscera Dragger for card advantage
3rd turn - Drop land, Play Wall of Blood or Geralf's Messenger, place a Vampiric Link of your Flesh Reaver, toss an Innocent Blood or Doom Blade for field advantage, or Altar's Reap for cards
4th turn - Drop land, Play Abyssal Persecutor, push for an extra turn or life gain with Temporal Extortion, sac Geralf's Messenger for card draw, Sadistic Sacrament WoB for win if able.

TL;DR
Sac and stall until either Abyssal Persecutor can wail on their health or you can pull off the WoB/RoC combo on your enemies.

Works better as a 1v1 deck.

Looks brutal (to yourself and your opponent).
Why not 4 Death's Shadow? You could also exchange Innocent Blood for Smallpox.
Putrid Imp is another possible sac outlet.

The deck runs so good Death's Shadow is almost always a dead draw so I don't like to run 4 of those. Thinking of replacing them in fact - and smallpox was definitely something I have been considering for the switch.

I meant Carrion Feeder instead of Putrid Imp... my bad. Its an enabler for Demonic Rising and is nice with Viscera Dragger and Geralf's Messenger. Also, just thought of Phyrexian Obliterator. Could that card find a place in here?

I would love a Phyrexian Obliterator, however I made this deck to reflect my own physical deck and I do not as of yet own any copies of that wonderful card.
