Deck Description

The idea here is to have limited a control token deck, the control aspect comes from limited mana production with winter orb, while having a number of creatures which can rpoduce/untap mana. This adds an amount of survivability to the deck by limiting the opponents large creatures they put out/shock like spells with the limited mana. By putting out lots of low cost creatures and defenders, the deck can survive until a parallel lives/mitotic slime/awakening zone combo comes out for mass token generation. The power of which can be modified by garruk for a mass final attack which usually yields in endgame.

Please help in trimming any fat and modifying my sideboard to deal with different scenarios.

How to Play

A good starting hand would have one forest, an elf/bird, and a winters orb/fabricate. The idea is to get the mana limiting up as soon as possible. Once activated, basic lands should be replaced with a simic or a selesnya as soon as possible to ensure high mana production for yourself. Depending on the strategy of the opponent you can take several approaches to victory, such as little damage against a heavy hitter deck, since the lowered mana production would limit their ability to put out creatures. You can also play the waiting game, use awakening zone to create tokens and wait until garruk is out to give mass trample, then swarm. mitotic slime works really well, and having spawning pit as an added token generator allows you to keep tokens coming out after each time an opponent attacks.

Turn 1:Play forest and Birds of Paradise
Turn 2:Tap Forest, play Simic Growth Chamber, Play Winters Orb
Turn Three: Untap Simic, Play Forest, Play Awakening Zone
Turn 4: Untap Simic, Play Forest, Sacrifice Aldrazi Token, Play Parallel Lives
Turn 5: You now have two Aldrazi tokens each turn, which can be used to stop attacks or convert to mana, you have a bird which can be used for mana. From here you can play mitotic slime to mass a large army of tokens or garruk to generate more mana which you can put out creatures for two turns, and allowing more aldrazi tokens to be generated leading to his -4 which grants all your creatures +3/+3 and trample.
