I played this same deck like a week after i started playing. Blew my mind lol. Drop 2 land and 6 rats n put in 4 dark ritual and 4 cabal ritual. Speeds things up a bit.

Mind commenting :) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=384072

YOW!!! Anyway, I was thinking of enchantments that would boost the power of Relentless Rats. The only problem that this deck has is Sever the Bloodline...

Thrumming Stone is a must :)

Yeah, Thrumming Stone and Coat Of Arms would do...well what this deck was intended to do when it was made years and years ago. As soon as one Rat comes out with thrumming stone on the field...They all come out. So you will have 36 Relentless Rats, which are all 37/37.

YES. But, the problems with this deck are:
1. The deck is pretty slow.
2. Sever the Bloodline pretty much makes this deck useless.

True, But will they have a chance to play it? As a deck to play with a circle of friends, this would only work once or twice till someone found a way to destroy it, but against people who have never played it before, I dont think anybody is going to pull the exact right thing out. For Example: Even though Leyline of the Void TOTALLY destroys a Reanimator deck, you dont see it played against one very often first game.

Im going to think on how to make it faster....

Yeah, this deck would be a one-timer because you would mostly play against your friends, so they would figure it out quickly.

Would Dark Ritual work?

Dark Ritual would work, but that would only speed it up a couple turns. Personally, Id add 4 tutors of some kind that search for any card, 2 Coat of Arms to make it so that even if you only have 4 or 5 rats out, they would be huge, and 4 Dark Rituals so you can be sure to play a rat AND one of the trump cards both in the same turn.

I considered building this deck when I first started playing magic. As with the above comments, Dark ritual would only speed things up a few turns, and Thrumming Stone is slow, but the two combined would potentially speed this deck up a LOT.

Oh, and door of destinies would be faster than coat of arms, and while it would not get tokens from ripple, it would keep tokens in case of a wrath or sever the bloodline.

PS. Please check out a drop a comment on my Zombie deck when you have time.

After reading the comments, and an original idea or two, this is how I built this deck:

Deck build time: 10 minutes.

Note that though Marrow-Gnawer is legendary, Thrumming Stone's ability is optional.
