A Tortured Existence Zubera deck featuring Ashnod's Altar. It's a little different from Zubera Storm. The main reason for me to build this deck was to use Bubbling Muck as a replacement for High Tide. The Zubera Core and Tortured Existece came with an idea to this deck.
The main wincon of the deck is Ember-Fist Zubera. The deck evolves around on maximize the zubera triggers, generate lots of mana with Altar and continue to do whatever you want.One of the payoffs for such deck is Driver of the Dead, that returns a Zubera from grave to play. It is most efficient when you sacrifice it with the altar, thus generating 2 mana and getting a zubera on the field.As secondary wincons, we have bubbling muck + consume spirit. The deck generates tons of mana, and a mana sink that drains the enemy is the best we can use. The drawback of Consume Spirit is that it only accepts black mana, so the mana from the Altar can't be used raw. A possible future change will be Fireball instead of Consume.Tortured Existence adds to the deck more recursion over the Zuberas. It's important that we can reuse as many zuberas as possible. Grave recursion is always good in decks like that.The Sideboard is focused on slow down the game, so we can prepare the ground for our victory. Damage disablers and enablers are almost all of the sideboard. Brown Ouphe against relics and artifacts that grave hate us and Silent-Chant Zubera against aggro or burn. Dispel is the only counterspell we have, and is just to failsafe our wincons.
