Deck Description

The new infinte damage (or shall I say infinte life loss) combo in standard thanks to Gatecrash and Vizkopa Guildmage. Exquisite Blood on the field + Activate Vizkopa Guildmage 2nd ability + Gain life or have your opponent lose life = Infinte life loss/gain.

How to Play

Don't try and outright win with this deck. The creatures are all defensive, Crypt Ghast is a mana accelerant, and your spells are there to control your opponent. The goal is of course the combo. Once Exquisite Blood is on the field, try and cast and activate Vizkopa Guildmage in one turn. causing them to lose life or gaining life yourself should be very easy given Vampire nighthawks lifelink, Blood Artist in the event you can kill something, or even casting sign in blood on your opponent.

Deck discussion for Infinte Damage (standard)

Nice Deck! I'm just wondering does the infinite loop end when your opponents life total is 0? :D

In a one on one match, it's irrelevant, but in multiplayer, I would argue yes.

Keep in mind Vizkopa Guildmages ability says that each opponent loses life when you gain it, so even in multiplayer you should be able to kill everyone.

nice idea, we should try to make it standard tournament quality

I agree, and I feel like this is a good start. It's essentially a turn 6 infinte combo, which seems playable. With Black and White, their is enough control elements I believe to keep you alive to the combo. A problem is that Slaughter Games ruins us, and that is in a good deal of side boards already, so we need another win condition, at least in our sideboard.

I like the idea, shouldn't you have card acceleration and another Exquisite blood if that's the deck?

You're probably right, Sign in Blood isn't quite enough. Either BloodGift Demon or Increasing Ambition should be in here as well. I'll make a few changes.

I've never played standard but it seems like a good idea since there's no good tutors this set

I don't think blood artist is really needed when there are better ways to gain life.
I'm also building a deck similar with the loop.

Agreed, I'm not wholly concerned about getting the combo started once the pieces are on the board. Blood Artist is a good defensive effect, gaining you life when trading creatures in combat or whenever you cast removal, and has synergy with Desecration Demon. But it is a flexible spot in the deck.

Nice idea. But since I find it difficult for the deck to win without the combo, I'd focus on it and surviving until then. Extort seems a good way to gain time and have a flexible way to gain life/make opponent lose life.

Pretty nice deck. I've made a similar one. It's more of a defenseive deck though, and I use Bloodthrone Vamp with Blood Artist and Vizkopa. The combo is just insane. One suggestion i would make is to add Rhox Faithmender, his synergy with the rest of the deck is really good, especially with Vizkopa. Here's my deck, if you want to see a different take on the Vizkopa mechanic.
