Deck Description

Mad science is the best science: it summons elder gods.

The combo is thus: 2 Training Grounds and 1 Spawnsire of Ulamog. With two Training Grounds in place you can make infinite Eldrazi Spawn, and then use all that mana for the Spawnsire's REALLY fun ability. Training Grounds also turns Azure Mage into a card advantage powerhouse, which is fun.

The deck is just for fun, but I don't think it's too ridiculous. And the potential for epic wins is just awesome.

EDIT: Swapped out the Alchemies for 3x Tidings and another Simulacrum.

EDIT: Added Dimir Guildmage and splashed black to make the deck a little meaner: with a Training Grounds or two on the field, the Guildmage is disgustingly good.

For a more budget-friendly version of the deck, switch the Guildmages for Azure Mages and all the nonbasic lands for islands. I used Mind Stones instead of the Signets, but they are slightly more expensive.

With two Training Grounds in play, Spawnsire's first ability costs one to activate. You sacrifice one of your two Spawn to activate the ability again, then repeat until you have 20 Eldrazi Spawn... or as many as you want.

Haha, no worries man. Thanks for the comment anyway! Mind if I ask what your thoughts are on Alchemy vs. Tidings here?

you know even though the tidings is more mana i probably go with that. Because you get mana really fast in this deck and the alchemy you can only choose one

Whats your early game? it seems like you could be destroyed before you really got going

Frankly, early game is pretty weak. It's mostly ramp and maybe an Azure Mage or two--like I said, the deck's mostly just for fun. It would definitely get cleaned up pretty quick by any kind of aggro.

as much as I hate eldrazi, I have always been fascinated by Spawnsire. he is a very unique card in a game of unique cards. I love seeing decks that make really good use of him. :) well done.

Thanks for the comment. I've been searching for a wacky casual deck like this for a while, and I think I've finally built something I can be proud of.
