I've got the upper end of burn power with low CMC. Perhaps a bit more control or card draw, I'm not sure. I'll keep playing around with it.

Talrand is great, though Young Pyromancer is still nice because of the lower CMC. Not sure how I'd make room for Talrand. Maybe drop Wee Dragonauts or Nivix Cyclops? Though I like both those cards quite a bit. Isochron Scepter does count as casting, cause it says, "you may cast the copy". I might go ahead and throw in another Isochron Scepter for more consistency. Damage from burn, Guttersnipe, Gelectrode and the Dragonauts + Cyclops add up fairly quickly, but it is a bit slower than I'd like. Any suggestions to speed it up? I've considered adding Monastery Swiftspear for more speed, but I'm not sure what I'd drop in exchange. Any suggestions?

Thanks for looking! Howling Mine is a great card, but I feel like making room for it would detract from the deck's main focus, since it's not an instant or sorcery, nor does it trigger when one is cast. If I add more card draw, it might be better to make it an instant or sorcery.

I guess the idea is to cast Leveler, immediately sac it, and force them to gain control of it at the end of your turn, after which they must draw and therefor lose the game. Seems too risky in most cases, though, cause you have to exile your entire library first. If they can play anything before end of turn to exile Leveler from your graveyard, or force you to draw cards, or skip their own draw step, or do anything else to disrupt the combo, you're screwed.

Sounds good. I have a couple of those already, and I'll add the rest to my order. Thanks again!

I'm getting ready to order this, so if anyone's got any more suggestions, speak now or forever hold your peace.

This is wonderful. I'm tempted to just go buy it, but if I bought every one of your budget decks that I wanted, I'd be broke... which would be rather ironic. +1

I switched out Monastery Swiftspear for Young Pyromancer, and I'll look into the other suggestions. Thanks again!

Sounds good, I'll drop one more land to make room. Thanks for the suggestion!

Fair enough, on both accounts. Switched out Serum Visions for Ponder. Still working on what to drop in exchange for Pyromancer's Goggles, any suggestions?

Question. If one of my main potential win conditions is a huge token swarm through Talrand, Young Pyromancer and possibly Empty the Warrens, and I've already got ways to clear the path via tapping, board wipe, Teleportal, etc, then would throwing in Burst of Speed be good enough insurance alongside counter spells, extra turns and/or Flash casting everything at the preceding player's end step? Do I even need the haste? It seems like it'd come in handy.

Great work here! Being able to sift through for the best creature in each situation is always a very powerful ability to have in a Commander. It's something you're not normally able to do with R/W, too, which is cool. I'm just getting into Commander myself, and I'm working on a list for Mizzix. Think you could take a look?

Ooh! I love it. It's definitely in, as soon as I find what I want to drop in exchange. Thanks much for the suggestion!

Thanks for the tips! Crackleburr is awesome. For card draw, Invoke the Firemind is excellent, but it's a bit less effective in a deck that's so light on lands and ramp. I'll see what I can do, though.

Only problem I see is I think eighteen creatures for this deck, but that could just be me.

Looks like a solid list! Ramping into Ugin first makes a lot of sense; it's a smart use of your reaources. It's actually more cost effective than ramping to Ulamog, but has many additional benefits. Just curious, what's your primary method of keeping Ugin alive? Say your opponent is pretty heavy on flying, and your Hangarback Walker refuses to die, what's your response?

One more thing: You've got six Foundry of Consuls. I assume that's supposed to be three?

I'd like it to be fairly competitive while still preserving the fun. I'm also working on a medium budget, but I'm willing to work toward more expensive additions. Any changes that could be made on a budget would be great, but I'll hear you out on the more expensive and potentially add those in the future.
