Deck Description

my take on Pariah/Stuffy Doll

obviously the main combo is pariah and stuffy doll. but in addition-
invasion plans- all creatures block stuffy doll if able
shivan meteor 13 damage for 5 at your opponents face
enlightened tutor to get the doll onto the field
wall of omens is just an extra draw
Comments and suggestions greatly appreciated:)

Deck discussion for Pariah's Stuffy Doll

You don't take damage from game of chaos, you lose life. This doesnt work with the pariah/stuffy doll combo since it only allpies to damage you recieve.

Enlightened tutor - gets stuffy doll and pariah. Guilty conscience also works well with stuffy doll (if you want all of your friends to hate you).

You might want to keep your land around 23/24 as you are playing more combo/control than aggro. I would drop the Invasion Plans. If you like forcing attacks, Gideon Jura is much better than Invasion Plans and functions as a secondary win condition. I don't like squadron hawk in this deck. Some mass removal, say Wrath of God/Day of Judgment, would be a better fit (especially since your stuffy doll lives through it). Some pyroclasm/ slaggstorm/ volcannic fallout affects are also good because it wipes your opponents board and hurts them if stuffy doll is in play. Furnace of Rath is better than Fire Servant because it is harder to get rid of but can increase the damage output by the above mentioned pyroclasm effects.

the idea of invasion plans was make all creatures block stuffy doll, gideon makes all creatures attack him. I like the day of judgement idea, and agree with the furnace of rath, I'll be making some modifications thank you duckboy

added slagstorm/pyroclasm and day of judgment. I think 20 lands is proficient considering my largest mana cost is 5, and I have seething song to speed up this process

with the way it looks now I'm just worried aggro decks are gunna stomp me before I can get blockers up, any suggestions?

actually doing some sample draws generally in my opening hand I would have either a lightning bolt or a wall of omen and by turn 4-5 have stuffy ready to go

You are now mainboarding 8 mass removal spells to deal with aggro. Similarly, lets say an aggro deck beats you down to one life. You can still drop combo off and win the game. I think you biggest concern is control deck that plays a counterspell to get rid of your stuffy doll. I think you should go play the deck. Tweak it later after you've had a chance to play test it.

infect wouldn't work because indestructible creatures can still take damage in the form of -1/-1 counters, so unless you could deal 10 damage at once on stuffy he would die without killing your opponent

A card I've been wanting to play in my Stuffy deck for a while now is Pyrohemia. Another fun thing to give Stuffy is lifelink :p

0
Posted 13 April 2011 at 05:48

life link would be fun, but I dunno if I want it main board, my hopes is that once stuffy is out I don't need to gain life, but life link would prolly save my ass if hes removed before the win. Pyrohemia would work well, but I hope by the time I get enough mana to put out stuffy the following turn I'll be able to invasion plans or shivan meteor them and then the following turn finish them off

sideboarded lifelink and decided to +1 invasion +1 slagstorm -2pyroclasm

I'd run a few more board wipes just for good measure. You're running Slagstorm, which is good and all, but I think Chain Reaction could have more explosive results as well as wiping the board.

As for Pariah, I'd run 2 and 2 Pariah's Shield, just in case you're facing invulnerable removal and to split your "eggs" between artifact and enchantment removal (as opposed to all in one basket). Likewise, Grand Melee, Total War, or War's Toll works great with Pariah('s Shield).

On a similar note, I'm also a big fan of the en-Kor. They are one of my favorite runs of creatures, and would make a Chain Reaction or Slagstorm an instant win.

All in all good looking deck! It's a bit different than I'd run it, but then that's why it's your take on Stuffy :P That's the beauty of Stuffy, so many damn ways to run it!!

good call on the Pariah's shield, and the chain reaction. I have seen en-Kor stuffy decks and they do seem awesome I could make a completly different deck around stuffy and en-kor, but my main idea is to attack with stuffy and use invasion plans to make all his creatures block him, then during their turn they wont attack because priah is up I'm gunna drop slag and put in chain reaction, I'm gunna put in 2 priahs shields and side board priah, and have 2 priah's shields in side board, so I can swap out when I see a heavy removal in 1 or the other, thank you for the input:)

Awesome ^_^ I'm glad I could be of help :D

Stuffy Doll is one of those cards on my list to buy a full set of... has been for a while now. Lol. Keep going after other things to finish off decks I already have, though, rather than to make new ones.

My idea is more of a general theme using WRG that incorporates Stuffy Doll rather than focusing on it. It uses Spitemare, War's Toll, Rage Nimbus, en-Kor creatures, Druid's Call, and the main theme of the deck is Rite of Passage, and of course, Stuffy Doll. Can play as a redirect / burn deck, or it can play as a token engine / creature pump with Rite of Passage and redirect effects. ... One day.. One day, I'll build it! haha.
