Deck discussion for Dying Shades v.3

lol. for all the packs I have purchased, I have everything but need 2 more Basilica Screecher.
Other Options?
High Priest of Pennance x3
Treasury Thrull x3
Cartel Aristocrat x3
Wight of Precinct Six x3
Executioner's Swing x3
One-Thousand Lashes x3
Thoughts?

Lashes is too expensive, Wight does not fit, the Swing is pointless if the damage is already done, high priest is alright, but you clearly have the deck utilizing extort, which means that the Aristocrat doesn't fit that well, and the Treasury thrull is expensive. Go to your LGS and buy the two Screechers for 20 cents.

set the deck to extort on suggestion from members here.
Compare version 2 to this one and what are your thoughts? Good move?

I agree, but I'd take out all the swamp advantage cards for more aggressive or defensive cards with extort. Having the mana with no real finisher doesn't help.

Also, you need to cut it down to 60 cards, and Liliana really doesn't have synergy with the deck, so cut out a swamp then, and cut out death wind all together and you should have a pretty decent 60 card deck.

Honestly, if your going to be using crypt ghast, you don't need to use the guild gates to pump your Shade. Just add the shockland, Godless Shrine, there. Its a Plains Swamp, so it can tap for an extra black via the Ghast.

The Gates are literally and only for Gateway Shade. Their purpose being that +2/+2 lift per gate. That has more 5th turn value than Godless Shrine. Lifting a Gateway shade to a 5/5 on "2 mana" and that leaves mana for Gifting the Shade.

so 6/6 Flying and Life-link for Two Gates. and 3 mana on turn 5. I will be smacked by then. I will need that life-link badly.

One last thought - I'd consider adding Syndic of Tithes as a two drop. You gain a lot of mana with this deck, but none of it has good use early. Syndic is a nice 2/2 for 2 with extort.

made room for two by removing 1 pet and a screecher.

Take my like! Griselbrand has to fit in there somehow, with Crypt Ghast you can get him on turn 5 :D
And change your sideboard to 3 of each card.

Awesome Thanks. I'm not sure how to slide him in there. He's pretty nasty and could definitely do some damage.

Cruncher. Whats your opinion of this deck versus version 2 of it? Playing dual-colors is not something I normally do.

Version 3 looks like a solid improvement over the old version, it seems much more powerful now.
I just had a thought, how about adding Illusionist's Bracers? They allow for twice the pumping! However they would force a bit of restructuring to make place for them...

Will have to look at those. After massive play testing last night I have had to alter the deck again. Version 4 is here: http://www.mtgvault.com/lithionlx/decks/dying-shades-v4/

The card you suggested is:

I am looking at Oracle 605. Mana Abilities
http://magiccards.info/rule/605-mana-abilities.html

This could be placed on the Shades, but not on Crypt Ghast.
I could pump 2 shades for the price of one.
Just placed a bid for a playset.
