Deck Description

the idea here is to ramp quickly into giant eldrazi. if you can pull out a few removal on early mana producers (lotus cobra, birds, omnath) it should give me a better chance of dropping big eldrazi creatures without any answer.

momentous and vengevine work great together. plus, momentous is great late in the game, because you can refill your hand and life total by responding to a targeted eldrazi with the sacrifice. ramping is so fast with this deck, using the fetch lands to generate two from lotus cobra that often times many of your low drops with be shot. That is when you cast everflowing chalice for whatever you can and one of your eldrazi lands to sneak out a big fellow. They have few cards in hand, removal spells spent, and you now have a giant stomper with annihilate.

omnath can get there on his own, sometimes pumping him with green a turn before you cast eldrazi can warrant a hasty removal spell, only to drop the eldrazi next turn. i am still playing with which cards work best together, as i still havnt played with this full list. It is more of a wishlist, as i collect the pieces. The half built deck seems quite good so far, easily ramping into eldrazi by turns 4-5.

ideal

turn 1: birds
turn 2: lotus cobra, joraga
turn 3: fetch land (cracked), level up joraga (tap her for 2 + @ from lotus), everflowing chalice for 3
turn 4: eleven mana to drop an eldrazi

vengevine/omnath/momentous all work well with the above system but slow down the turn of eldrazi by a turn or two. However an monster eldrazi on turn 4 or 5 is not all that hard to come by. then it is just having the mana open to be holding momentous fall, or using eldrazi temple to get another eldrazi out.

feedback welcome.
