Deck Description

PERSIST BABY!! OH YEA!

as a disclaimer this isnt built for tournament rules or whatever. to be honest i dont even know the different legality rules concerning cards but hey, maybe it'll work in a tournament :/

I tried hard as possible to make a decent reliable persist deck on a $30 budget.... took me like 4 hours >.< damn magic is expensive... yea.. well this is what i came up with spending a tad bit over 29 (including $.99 shipping)

win conditions:
basically any card with Melira(and to a lesser extent Heartmender)

Melira + Blasting + Furystoke
Melira + Blasting + Redcap
Melira + any creature + Vamp + Colossal might

Other nice combos:
Melira + Blasting + Finks = infinite life (be careful when playing any deck with vampires.... Blood Tribute will just make things unruly. Yea you can get teh life back but keeping track of life totals of both people will become a pain)

the reason i have 4 of Natures Spiral and Evolution Charm is because theres really nothing to stop Melira or my artifacts from being destroyed by some card effect so i would need a way to get them back.

Ancient stirrings to go through and quickly get blasting station and/or skullclamp (and to arrange cards however you want. if your fighting someone whos a good at surviving you might reach the bottom of your deck using skullclamp chances are though they wont survive that long.)

EDIT:
~~~as Planestalker pointed out the melira + devoted druid combo does not produce infinite green mana so i replaced it with Ashnods altar. it produces colorless mana instead but mana none the less.
~~~ I added 4 viscera seer's and reduced the number other cards(and put them in the side deck). no point in having 3/4 of a certain card if i can just pick it out what i want with the seer.

Hi Lord of the Planeswalkders,

Like the general idea of your deck abusing Melira. But I spotted some errors.

The combo Melira + Devoted Druid can not make infinite mana because the -1/-1 counter does not go on, and the druid therefore can not untap. Melira prevents you from paying the cost, which prevents the activated ability from being used.

Here what a nice core for your deck could look like this:

4x Melira, Sylvok Outcast
4x Murderous Redcap
4x Kitchen Finks
4x Viscera Seer
4x Bloodthrone Vampire

Any sac outlet (Ashnod's Altar for Example) + Murderous Redcap with Melira in play is instant kill.
Melira + Kitchen Finks with any sac outlet is infinite life.
Melira + Bloodthrone + Kitchen Finks is a very large number/very large number beater.
Melira + Viscera seer + Kitchen Finks let's you know the entire sequence of your library and lets you tutor for any card (a.k.a. Redcap) every single turn.

What's missing is assembling the combo (Viscera Seer can help there too) and protecting the Combo. Add Fauna Shaman, Birthing Pod and Thoughtseize and this could go somewhere.
I'll post a deck like this soon.
