Deck Description

First: I'll not care about mistakes while writing xD

I don't know if 4x Skithyryx and 4x Putrefax will make the Deck too heavy, but I'm gonna try it, even because, the rest of the deck is designed to be very fast and give our opponents lots of bad surprises.

Why not to use Necropede? Coz I don't like it =D

Here the game:

I'm couting with lots of Infect Artifact creatures why? I can imprint them into the vat? Exacly!!
A friend of mine tough I would use Vat for putrefax and Skithyryx, what is not a bad idea at all, buut, its to slow.
Sacrificing and artifact creature for Throne of Geth, I'll imprint it into vat, atack with it's token copy, and sacrifice again with geth for Proliferating.

I'll keep Untamed Might for a while because I don't want to get other 2 cards ( maybe 1 Skithyryx and 1 Putrefax or 2 Skithyryx) fot replace its on Untamed Might's x2 plus two other cards for Giant Growth.

Plague Stinger and Blight Mamba is one of the better way to give our opponent a poison counter, even Vector Asp is a good idea. And they can be pumped up in the firsts turns for giving 4 or more poison counter with only 1 hit.

Sideboarding:

vs Dueling against Aggro deck: - 2 Skythyryx, - 2 Putrefax - 2 Untamed Might - 2 Swamp + 2 Copperline Gorge +3 Assault Strobe +3 Giant growth // it will make the deck faster and double strike for 1 hit kill with not block mamba, sting or vector pumping with Giant Growth and Assault Strobe.

vs Control: - 2 Untamed Migth - 2 Skythyryx + 4 Giant Growth // Get rid of your opponent with fast and powerfull infect shots using Giant Growth.

vc Burn: - 4 Putrefax - 2 Untamed Migth - 1 land (any) + 4 Giant growth + 3 Hand of Praetors // as vs control, hit your opponent as fast as you can, don't let them play. and don't get scary about receiving burn int your creatures, Vat is here for that. WHY NOT PUTREFAX??? Ok, Vat is here anyway, perhaps, using 5 mana for a creature whose can me killed by Ligthninhg Bolt is not a good idea, 5 mana you can cast Ichorclaw, sacrifice with geth, return with Vat and atack and sacrifice with another geth, ok 3 Posion Counters ;D

Thats It, I hope you Guys Enjoyed this kind of Vat Infect.

Comments will be apprecieted =-D

Deck discussion for Vat Infect

i have a deck almost exactly like this, i made it blue black for the steady progress and distortion strike though, it really focuses on the proliferate.
i use clone shell for mimic vat, that way i can keep pulling creatures every turn, it works rather well
its on the second page, your input will be appreciated.

I would say if you are going to play a vat combo, then ichor rats would be awesome, maybe take out 2 each of the dragons and putrefaxs and add in 4 hand of the praetors. personally for a fast deck i like gaint growths over primal mights. I have managed many 3rd turn kills using giant growths + unholy strenght/vampire strike ect... Just a thought though. Like the deck!

using Ichor for Vat it's a good idea, perhaps its not the point of the combo, thats why I'm not using it.
I'm really thinking about remove some Dragons to add hands.

thanks for the comment

Yea I have been running alot of variations on infect decks at FNM lately, trying to get a really competetive one.

I have found that SKithryix tends to be a bad choice, he gets removed so quickly because it takes so long to get him out.

Putrifax on the other hand does really well because he just comes out and bashes and goes away, leaving alot less time for removal and no response turn for them before he attacks.

But I will say that 4x Ichor Rats is almost a must and splashing 2 or so HOTP is pretty handy as well.

I will also say that the hardest thing for an infect deck is handling late game, so that being said perhaps some combination of vats/skithryix could be very deadly.
