Deck Description

This is my take on infinite life gain. Here's the combo:

1. Have Soul's Attendant or Suture Priest on the field, Along with Leonin-Relic Warder.

2.Play Phyrexian Metamorph copying the Warder.

3.Metamorph uses Warder's effect and removes itself, but its also an artifact so it comes back.

4.Repeat the process infinite times.

its faster if you use feind hunter instead of using the relicwarder and metamorph

Metamorph + Relic warder + suture priest = 3 cards, 7 mana, and soonest by turn 5
3 fiend hunter (or metamorphs) + suture priest = 4 cards, 11 mana, and soonest combo by turn 6

mcma is incorrect

I like this idea a lot, it remembered me the combo of Daru Spiritualist, different but with the same idea, infinite lifes. Either way, you need to protect the cards you need for the combo, you dont have draw power so you have to wait for the combo to arrive, and if they die, dont have regenerate or something like that. Squadron Hawk not seem very important for the deck besides the early life gain thanks to Soul's Attendant or Suture Priest, you can put in their place Brave the Elements, Silence, Holy Day, or, the best choise, Orim's Chant. Abeyance also gives you protection and drawing power to build speed for the combo. Hope it works.

Ya, brave the elements is in my sideboard for decks that run slagstorm. The only reason I have Squadron Hawks is so I can buy myself time against Inkmoth Nexus and things like that

...i like this deck!!! it screams "damn, i did not see that coming" and all you need is 3 mana... but you need to figure how to protect yourself from infect

0

hebigan is right, but the cards that protect you against infect could be put in the sideboard and not in the mainboard. Also it could need a win condition, like Felidar Sovereign or Test of Endurance like mill decks in the sideboard.

Link you need to chill out. There are 4 things you need to think about

1. People get the same ideas constantly especially in a limited card base format such as standard

2. You said it yourself that savajcabbaj gave you the idea for your deck

3. The first comment on your deck by MagicLango gave you the idea for the metamorph

4. I made a deck with the combo on the vault a month before you did... Yours made the front page and you did not see me cussing you out saying you stole my idea and asking for credit for the combo

So unless somehow you have copyrighted/patented/whatevered the combo it is not YOURS anyone can use it... So sit down take a chill pill and think before you post next time ok.

Also after actually looking at the decks there are quite a few differences.

Cards In his deck that you do not have in yours: Phyrexian metamorph, Soul's attendant, Serra ascendant, squadron hawk, inquisitor exarch, Ajani goldmane, Kabira crossroads, glimmerpost, or revoke existence.

So unless you gave us the wrong link, that seems like more than 1 card to me.

@lukeyboy - sorry mate this is the outcome of me staying uP till 12:30 watching avgn... Sorry for snapping at you

@ sshudson - the deck was updated on Friday it used to have many of those cards, I wish I had copyright ownership to the combo, and can u post the link? I didn't see it when I was looking for infinite combos

@ yu994 - his is much less focused and takes much longer to pull off... So no it's not

When I made that first one I thought you were talking about the phyrexian metamorph combo as well... That's what my deck was on only later did I realize that your deck didn't use that combo. Serves me right for staying up until 12:30 lol :D

You probably didn't find it because it wasn't called infinite life combo. If you still want to see it this is the deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=216867

It was pretty good in my meta because there were a lot of twin-blade infinite combo decks but other than that I guess it was really only average

This deck is just a new idea of an old deck that did the same, is not original but great it is, so is normal that a lot of people use this kind of deck, it doesnt belong to anyone in particular.

alright, now that things like that are out of the way, i'm going to make some recommendations! :D

creatures: Glimmerpoint Stag (good if you have the mana to pull off the combo when its played)
Fiend Hunter (another relic warder)

Spells: journey to nowhere (another fiend hunter)
pacifism (an amazing stall card)
lapse of certainty (its great, buys a turn, pisses people off, and lets you putt off the combo!)

and sorry to say it, but i recommend removing ajani. sure, he's good, but if you make the changes necessary, you wont need him

The combo is fantastic, but you need some more game winners. Having infinite life doesnt kill them.

Ajani is kinda needed here. the Ascendent and Divinity are great finishers, but an infinitely large creature falling on top of you is terrifying.

Felidar Soverign. Do infinite life, plonk him down, you win.

Chalice of Life. With all the life gain (without the combo) it wont be hard to get up 10 life, then its as simple as tap, transform, and but them on the clock.

Hope this helps. Its a great combo, but it usually stalls if it doesnt get its pieces. This tho looks like it can pull it off.

I don't know, felidar is kinda slow.Used to have him but divinity of pride seems faster getting 25 life is really easy in this deck

dude, its not like he stole it or anything! soul sisters came a month before my infinite life combo that i got from a guy calles SavvajCabbaj. then this one ocmes up... people have the same i deas! just stop criticizing! its a decent deck for what it is

yeah, fedilar is pretty slow, but i use him because after the combo, he wins u the game instantly! :P
theres another enchantment, that does the same thing except for like, 60 life, i think... i cant for the life of me remember what it is though... personally i like pridemate the best. :P

also, think about adding oblivion ring! it really helps the combo! just like most of the cards i reccommended do... i still say ajani is slow though... at least, he is in my vesion...

hmmm... I think, like you guys said, ajani's pridemate really works well. But o-ring it? doom blade anyone? gftt? yep. that would suck. I think you guys can figure out how to do that.
Another thing to consider is that if you have infinite life, why not put some phyrexian stuff in this deck like gut shots? free damage, and since you have soooo much life, it will barely be a scratch.
Lastly, Angelic destiny anyone? It works every time!

0
Posted 20 March 2012 at 22:37

Maybe so but can they also deal with the other 3 pridemates + the 2 divinity of prides + the 4 Serra ascendants + they have to be able to come back when you have 9,999,999,999,994 life

Phyrexian stuff is good and all but one you have that much life your opponent will likely concede anyway. The only one I would really have him consider is maybe dismember

Lastly angelic destiny is a great card but it doesn't really fit in the deck. It doesn't help with the life gain and yes this is an aggro deck but before that it is combo-based and that could detract from the combo a little bit.

phyrexian metamorph needs to be exiled before the leonin warder's effect can grab it. they both happen at the same time and since metamorph is not exiled when it leaves the battlefield it cannot bring itself back.

0
Posted 21 March 2012 at 14:28

no, this works. all you need is one relic warder and one metamorph to make an infinite loop. The metamorph copies the relic warder and removes himself repeatedly. Both effects trigger separately.

Phyrexian Metamorph will copy the Leonin, then exile itself. The second ability will trigger when it leaves play, but the Metamorph won't be in exile until after said ability resolves. The second ability won't return anything, since it hasn't exiled anything (until later).

I'm not positive but I am pretty sure that you can order the stack to make it work. It's kind of like the fact that you can order the stack in such a way that after all the bouncing with the metamorph you can end it by copying a ajani's pridemate and have the metamorph gain all the +1/+1 counters as well.

Love this deck, I used your idea with some friends of mine, but change a few things which some of them seemed to be mentioned in previous post. I used the following: Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, Suture Priest, Fiend Hunter, Leonin Relic-Warder, O-Ring, Sanguine Bond, Diabolic Tutor, Idylic Tutor, and Safe Passage. Believe me, they didn't see it coming. I told them I got it from your idea with a few changes cause I didn't want to just gain the life, I wanted to kill them all at the same time.
