Deck Description

updated 01/30/12 still a work in progress.

this deck has been a lot of fun but I want to make it better. the sideboard is more for cards I need to buy then a real sideboard. my group doesn't really play with sideboards.

I've updated the deck with some of Surewhynot's suggestions. it seems to be running a bit better in the sample hands but I'm missing a few cards in order to really try it out. (sideboard)

any and all thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Deck discussion for Rampant Equipment

Very nice. Only a small suggestion, you could add in Concerted Effort. It would equal crossbuffing hell for an opponent.

That would be very nice. :) so as soon as I equip one guy they all have it. LOL :) well minus the power buffs. but still very nice.

thanks for the suggestion.

Maybe add muddle the mixture to search for a puresteel paladin if I don't get one in my opening hand?

any thoughts?

Since your running red with Basilisk Collar, Cunning Sparkmage couldn't hurt, could it? I just think removal should replace things like Ogre's Cleaver, because that isn't the greatest equipment. Also, Stonehewer Giant is such an important card, so you should get some ramp creatures/spells and, most importantly, Paradise Mantle!

Good job, this deck was definitely worth looking at.

thanks for the suggestions, I know Ogre's Cleaver isn't the best equipment ever but if you consider that it drops for 2 and with a puresteel Paladin out with his metal craft working it equips for free so one of my guys could get a +5/+0 for free, it's very nice. :)

Alright, the immediate problem I see is that you are running WAY too much equipment in here. An equipment deck has to balance between having too many, and also not having enough. I also worry a bit about your splashes. Both are very light splashes, which will generally make the whole deck much slower. I might just stick to mono-white =/

With mono-White you can rock with things like Shrine of Loyal Legions (which will really pump up the Cranial Plating) a whole assortment of white Metalcraft dudes, and Myrsmith, to name a few. The equipment idea is cool, I've always loved the pre-stoneforge equipment decks (another reason I hate stoneforge)...Just remember not to go overboard with the equipment...Sometimes less is more =]

I know your really busy. thanks for taking a few min to look the deck over. I've made some changes in accordance to your suggestions. I don't think I dropped the number of equipments for the simple fact that if I have a puresteel paladin out I can draw as long as I have the mana to drop them. one of the reasons why I have so many 0 drop equipments in here.

if I were to drop some of the equipments what would be your recommendation to drop and for what?

Hrm...Well I would scrap the Cleaver, Nets, and Shields...maybe some other things too, but that depends. You might want to look into some of the Living Weapon things. A number of them are pretty powerful, and their only huge downside is the high equip cost, which you have a means to bypass.

No Stoneforge Mystics, hmm? Since this is casual, if you can get them it would be ideal. Also, I agree with SWN's assessment of th equipment trade. Living Weapons can be pretty powerful and hitting Metalcraft on the Paladin means easy shuffling around of Batterskull. :3
