This deck could be great in extended. That being said, in-standard I'd switch to a token based Boros design which could generate creatures and help you cast the act on turn four or five. You need more charms, especially Boros!! For tokens, lingering souls is legal and there are some human generators out there. Basically drop all ur creatures, except your combo players, maybe add a battle field medic or perhaps the two casting cost black card that creates demon tokens. Assemble the legion is a possibility. Don't run mana quake instead drop that and the revelations for more board control, like searing spear or dead bore. I think "silence" is underestimated and works much like fury does. Well, good luck and I hope to see an extent version someday:)

Great build ! I'd drop the specter (even though its totally cool) and one of the nemisis to add back both snap cast . Good mana base, cheers.

your sideboard doesn't address mill. I LOVE the build though!! I liked this deck. Your deck is designed for heavy boros, jund, and mirror matches... is that your entire format? no blinking bant crap? no Jace's Mill? My advice; use elixer of immortality in your sideboard. Drop a volcanic strength for your hellrider in your main deck. Good luck!!

I'd loose a collar and add a bitterblossum. Great deck! I always wanted to build it!

lol, one card can shut this deck down. You need a sideboard. Don't be upset...lots of people run oblivion stones or splash white for "disenchant" cards. I was out of the loop for a bit.... is there a w/b (paid with either mana) or a life pay card that destroys enchantments? Goodluck. Oh, I've made this deck several times over the years (i've been playing since 1996) and it always come down to somebody who top decks an artifact or enchantment that destroys all forward progress. Best wishes,

So you don't like the infinite life combo with Nearheath Pilgrim, boros charm (or battlefield medic), and the reckoner? I'm surprised

I'm digging the build!! my advice, dump all your sorceries and run path to exile instead. Early board control is good for a creature heavy deck because it means less blockers. Also boros charm is a great card... Goodluck

You need to run more mana and less expensive spells if your going to keep pace with other gruul agro decks. I agree with dedwards about the mana choices. As for card choices, i'd swap the ripscales for skinbrands. Goodluck

I'm kinda in the same boat as you and I love the boros deck type too. But I don't get your sideboard at all. It reads like a draft deck. In what situation do you need only one silverblade paladin in your main deck but two in game two? What do you sideboard against a milldeck? You can check out my Boros deck, if you 'd like. I do like your war priest of thrune in your sideboard... Goodluck!!

The sideboard should (or even maindeck) could use "insist" and (whatever the red one was called that made a sorcery uncounterable) because they come with a cantrip. The sideboard should use "daze" and "gush" in cases where control decks are part of the metagame. I like this deck, even if its not original... this site is made for deck discussion

Its the decks theme.. if he wanted to build a normal gruell deck he'd most likely do it. Yeah, the deck is kinda silly, but if you wanted to do the creature token thing... I'd run assemble the legion, firemane angles, and battelfield medics. Loose the experimental one and spark troopes for the space. Goodluck

I'd try to go for more board control and less graveyard manipulation. I'd loose two lootings and two defy death and use the extra four slots for two more flaming spears and two madcaps. Great deck though! hope you play it like a champ!!

I disagree with Tygrandis's comment about the Ash zealots. They have first strike and haste. I would board the pit fights, and two of the spark trooper (its a first strike heavy environment) I do agree with madcaps though. I'd drop one medic and two skyjet to add three. Personally, in a deck with Angles... i'd go with Hellriders... maybe drop the other skyjets (they suck). Goodluck man!

This deck needs to be cut down to sixty cards. You have a lot of enchantment hate and the format is not enchantment heavy, therefore you should side board solemn offerings (4). Also drop the Crusades (3)because your already on turn five when you play it and you do not have card drawing... so you already have most of team out on the field by turn five. Drop two of the crusaders(2), two of the safe heavens(2) (two to sideboard), one of the geist (1). That should take you to sixty. Lol, quick silver paladins are awesome but expensive... i'd go for battlefield medics instead.

lol, i'm amazed the deck is conistant with just eight lands. After ten hands eight had land... how is that possible. However, the deck relies on one creature for the kill and it's a weak creature. Also I'd change the Sulfar falls to the Shivian Coast (pain land) due to the tap factor. Also why pillar of flame? I would think a storm card would take its place (is it called grapeseed catapult?). Long story short i've never seen this deck in real life but it was fun to read about. Cheers

I'm enjoying the control aspect of the deck and believe you when you say it can handle creatures. However, I'm confused why the deck is called Bant when there are no bant charms in the deck. I'd call the deck "Plane Charm" or something equally as lame. lol, great deck though and it looks like you already know its strengths and weaknesses.

Ash zealots and Hellriders are my favorites under 10 bucks. Otherwise I'd grab some oblivion rings, treasonous acts, and more direct damage from your local shop. My version of Boros is seriously fast and simply fun to play. Check it out! Cheers :)

I like how your highlighting the blood rush mechanic. I think Hellriders could fit this deck. I would drop a skinflint and a far seek. Good luck, man! Great deck.
