Deck Description

I have always like equipment cards and decided to make a deck based on using them. Any help, suggestions, and critism is welcomed.

Sideboard is basically some ideas I would consider putting into the deck. Tell me what you think? Kor Firewalker and Devouted Lightcaster are sideboard mainly.

1/17/10- Took out 2 Adventuring Gear, 4 Arid Mesa, and 4 Marsh Flats. Put in 4 Emerge Unscathed, 4 Emeria, the Sky Ruin, and 2 Plains.

Deck discussion for Legacy Equipment

I think you're going to like the living weapon mechanic, it's what I'm hoping to see as my deck basis for standard once Mirrodin Besieged hits.

I like weenie decks, but this just has to much equipment... I like that it's an orignal design, but it's very fragile don't you think? I suggest loading some more copies of a couple equipment, and cutting a few.

Perhaps consider an armory such as this;

1x sword of light and shadow
1x sword of body and mind
3x basilisk collar
1x Umezawa's Jitte(FORK OF DEATH!)
1x Argentum Armor

Well, I don't think Argentum Armor would be a good armory choice, due to the fact I want quick and cheap equipments to quickly buff up my creatures. Thank you for your suggestion.

Yeah it's probably not for this kind of build, I have trouble keeping my head straight when I'm listening to me some Buckethead.

So, another question comes to mind. For cheap equipment deck, why would I take out Bonesplitters? Also, you listed two swords, why not Sword of Fire and Ice?

And if I was to use somewhat of the armory you're thinking off, what would I add?

Call me normalized, but I like to use the quest for the holy relic, it and Argentum Armor are the reason I see WW as viable again. I only do it for standard, because that's the only format the creatures are powerful enough in, Legacy I suggest W/G, or Bant aggro.

I can't help with mono-white outside of standard, but if you want to splash Green I can probably be a bit useful. Also if you want to do Dirt I'll help in a heartbeat, I looooove that deck type.

Well, since you mentioned it, I do have standard quest deck. I'm trying keep this mono white equipment deck. I did take your advise about two many equipments.

Hey man, sorry for the late response. This is a cool WW equipment deck. I agree that Living Weapon will be a great thing for this deck. (I'm going to make a Living Weapon/Metalcraft deck release day...It will kick ass)

I don't know if you need a whole set of 4 Stoneforge Mystics. They're obviously great, but I think 4 is too much. I think you could do well with just 2 of them instead. Then you could work in some other equipment and/or spells. Also, your curve maxes out at 3, and so 20 lands is a more suitable number. (it will give you a nicer probability curve =P)

Hope that helps! =]

If I take out 2x Stoneforge Mystic and remove 2 Plains, I could add Brave the Elements? Whatcha think about that?

I think you should try out Emerge Unscathed instead. It will work more efficiently for a deck like yours, which will probably have one or two big beefy dudes smashing face. The rebound is what makes it a killer. =]

Ive read an article that was pretty thorough and well made, where they tested the effect of the fetch lands for late game card quality. They showed that the life loss to "not drawing a dead land" late game was not worth it. It ends up being something like 3-5 life for 1 extra card. Just thought you should know. You might want to go with emeria the sky ruins and normal plains instead. Just my opinion. I wouldn't be able to find you the article for you so take that however you'd like

Okay, I understand your point. Sound I get a play get of Sky Ruin?

I'd say that Emeria's ETBT effect takes some usefulness out of the card. Maybe consider -2, -2 Plains, and +4 Flagstones of Trokair?

Also, I don't know what would be best to cut, but AETHER VIAL. Your curve caps at 3 with only one creature being that high, and if you feel the need to add Kor Skyfisher to your list as well, it could increase your longevity for the deck (it's a defensive tactic for saving equips mostly). Maybe -1 Mystic, -1 Apprentice, -4 ???, +4 Vial, +2 Skyfisher?

What is Emeria's ETBT? Are you considering removing 2 Sky Ruins with 2 Plains? That does sound good for this deck.

As for Aether Vial, it would just slow the deck down a little. Plus, the only use would just to get creatures out. I don't have any bounce creatures or Flicker Whisps to remove and replay. I will take your advise about the land.
