Deck Description

I've always wanted to play Bob in a Hatebears/Taxes build so when we got a couple of Eldrazi that fit the shell I thought why the hell not!

Bob eliminates the big Eldrazi from the deck but it sure speeds up the clock and provides piles of Vial fodder.

Land base feels a little shaky, maybe to many Vents?

Deck has been sold.

How to Play

Tick Vial to 3 while destroying land and exiling critters under the Arbiter and start flickering for value abusing Sculler, Splicer, Strangler and all kinds of other shenanigans involving Whisp and Displacer.

Go wide with your bears while at the same time being careful to not over extend as you will most certainly see every sweeper available in every SB.

Deck discussion for Bob's Eldrazi Taxes (Sold)

Your a bit of an asshole about it, but your deck does seem intersting. How often do you get strangler to go off?

It's fine with Sculler, pretty reliable recursion going on there. Don't think one is any good without the other tho...

Wasteland Strangler has me concerned. You only have 8 ways that exile an opponent's card; Path and Tidehollow Sculler. The interaction with Tidehollow Sculler is awesome, but I don't see it being very reliable. Sadly, the only other creature I see that comes close to Wasteland Strangler's etb effect is Skinrender. It costs {B} more than the Strangler, but it doesn't have the limitation and the -3/-3 is permanent.

The rest of it looks good.

I'm trying to keep the cost as low as posible because of Bob so anything that increases the overall casting cost better be worth it. In addition, the -3 effect of Strangler is secondary to it's ability of letting me abuse Sculler.

Example from 2 weeks ago: T4 = Play Sculler and in response to it's ETB Vial in Wisp to flicker Sculler stripping the 2 useful cards out of my opponent's hand, followed by T5 Strangler processing the 2nd Sculler card targeting his topdecked 4/5 'goyf, (that just stalled most of my board,) allowing Thalia, Arbiter, Sculler and Wisp to swing in for damage. Now he is in topdeck mode and I have a clock that has to be dealt with immediately, basically everything a tempo deck wants!

That said, a 4-3 split of Thalias and 2 more Blade Splicers might just be flat out better then any of that kind of trickeration...?

Less trickery and more reliability is always good in this type of deck.
