Made a Tribal deck for the monkey loving wife. Even though not super fast or particularly controlling it works surprisingly well in the format. Most importantly, it is fun to play for someone as vaguely interested in Magic as my wife.If you want to go hyper budget then just swap out a couple of lands and Lightning Bolt but leave the Wild Defiance or you have to redesign pretty much the whole deck.
Get some monkeys on the board, drop Wild Defiance and go to town with Temur Battle Rage, Coordinated Assault and Incremental Growth on hard to block Apes for the win.The deck is on a knife edge when it comes to land supply so keep that in mind when you evaluate your starting hand.Besides the monkey related cards I stuffed a little situational control in the SB just to have some flexibility available.

Have you thought about using Prey Upon? Goes with the theme, and synergizes really nicely with your Wild Defiance. Wouldnt be a bad replacement for your lightning bolts, if you wanted to bring the cost down.
