Deck Description

Semi-casual Flicker creation under constant construction.
Card interactions galore throughout the entire deck making each play rater eventful.

Included Green to get the Knights utility land gathering and correspondent growth and added the Lotus Cobra ramp to do a more aggro front end, (note only 2 Walls and the inclusion of Brave the Elements)... Another "new" addition is the single Trostani generating life AND more Golems/Beasts for the mid game. Green also lets me add those nice utility lands not found in normal flicker decks and gives the chance to experiment with the Charm out of the SB.

How to Play

Vial in Flickerwisps or flash Resto Angel to abuse ETB effects like Walls, Hunters, Splicers, etc.
Lotus Cobra speeds up the early plays and really takes off when used in tandem with the Knights and Flagstones. Gives it a more aggro feel then most other flicker creations that are designed as more midrange control.

Besides your airforce your Knights, Finks and Thrag are your beaters next to the first striking Golems. The flickered Walls and Splicers are your main card advantage engines. Finks and the Trostani effect also buys you some time against decks that can deliver large amounts of damage early, vital as this deck takes a turn or three to get rolling. Knights gives you instant access to the utility lands as it grows itself bigger and at the same time trigger the Cobras.

Flagstones feed the Knights and Cobras, Windbrisking a Flickerwisp in mid combat is always fun. Nykthos can generate a pretty decent amount of mana to power out multiple threats from turn 4 and on. The land mix seems to have stabilized pretty well after some trial and error and introducing a couple of scrylands did seem to make a bit of difference.

Fun to play as there is always something going on. Tough to play correctly so practice often.

Deck discussion for WG Modern Flicker

I like the concept. You are right in that there is a lot of interaction going on, so you really do need to know your deck and anticipate cards coming down the pipeline in planning your plays.

I have a similar concept, but use a different set of cards (tuned to be more budget) titled "Primordial Flicker". Have a look & let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Cool idea to the deck. +1 from me. I would definitely test it out and see if you need more flicker. If you do, think about Cloudshift for that. But otherwise, looks good!

Thanks man.
When it was a "true" mono white flicker deck it did have Cloudshift in it, (and 2 more Resto Angels) and played like a mid-range control, but it has sort of evolved, (if you will), into more of a hybrid because of the addition of Green.

That brought in the Lotus Cobra ramp and their interaction with the Knights and the land toolbox. Strangely enough the additions of the "extra" interactions that you would think would in fact slow the deck down actually speeds up the front end and can, (with the Vial), turn it into a aggro breed that steamrolls the opponent surprisingly fast, (turn 5 board domination happens more often then you would think).

The Cobra ramp has in fact made me consider reintroducing Sun Titan to the deck as a timely Cobra drops him pretty quick!

Most importantly to me though is the fact that it is so much fun to play and it forces you to be at the top of your mental game to get the most out of it!
