Deck discussion for Abzan Constellation

There are a number of cards that come to mind, like Atheros, God of Passage, as well as Archetype of Endurance. I think having four Doomwake Giants in there is just too much. If you want a deck to operate smoothly, you need to be able to play your cards. You can't afford to just hold cards in your hand. I would rid of Doomwake Giant for Dictate of Erebos. That will be a way to lock in creatures like Brain Maggot. Also, Gift of Immortality would be great because it is an enchantment, and if your creature dies, you can bring them back. If you happen to have Dictate of Erebos out, you can make them sacrifice creatures. Grisly Transformation would also work for your end game. You can have any creature on the field, enchanted by Eidelon of Countless Battles, them use Grisly Transformation to make them unblockable. Just keep in mind that you need lower mana costs. If you're going to have higher costs, they need to be extremely useful. Doomeake Giant won't do too much, since you'll only be able to give your opponents a -1/-1 or -2/-2 each turn. If all of your enchantmentments had a CMC of one or two, you'd be able to wipe the field.

My main concern in asking for help was the choice of enchantments not creatures.

I do have Mystic, Caryatid, and 24 lands. Doomwake is my only card that costs 5, so it won't be a problem, and 22 of my constellation triggers are under three CMC, so I can chain constellation on Doomwake fairly well.

Fair enough. What kind of strategy are you going for, exactly? Are you looking for removal so you can hit with your creatures?

My goal is to have a Doomwake, Eidolon of Blossoms, and Eidolon of Countless Battles out then flood the board with my low cost enchantments to draw into more low cost enchantments and clear the board with doomwake while getting a super strong EoCB to swing in massively. The problem is finding good enchantments that are generally cheap.

Understood. I'll see what I can find. Keep in mind that EoCB only counts for auras, not global enchantments.

Oh yeah.....I'll probably need to replace him then.

Aspect of Gorgon would work really well with Brave the Sands. You'd be able to lock down the board. Also, Grisly Transformation would allow you to draw a card, and give the creature intimidate. The only downfall is most standard decks are tri-color decks, so it might lose some of its effect. Ordeal of Nylea would allow you to beef your creature, plus get land on the field. The only downfall with that, is it will only temporarily work with EoCB. I still think it's a decent trade-off though.

I think the better option then is to find a replacement for EoCB

I think I'll just mainboard the Heralds

That'd be better. EoCB is an awesome card, but I don't think it's for this deck.
