The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

You want pure douchebag-ridden multi-colored Grixis fun? Here it is. Use Cloven Casting with any one of your numerous multicolored Sorceries and Instants to have your opponents swearing in loud voices to the heathen gods! Not good enough? Get rid of the communist mono-colored opposition with Defiler of Souls! THAT'L learn 'em!

Then, use Defiler of Souls, Slave of Bolas, and Nicol Bolas himself (that evil bastard) to make sure you drop the size of your heart at least a size-and-a-half. And with this deck...you'll keep it off.

Felt grinchy today. What better way to ruin someone else's christmas than to beat them constantly about the head and neck at Magic? If you don't agree, I'll send you a signed document stating that you do not officially exist!

Suggestions and comments always welcomed. COMMENT AWAY!

Deck discussion for How Nicol Bolas Stole Christmas (Standard)

Seems extremely slow. Any decent deck would be wiping the floor with this deck by the time you could get any of your big creatures out. Control decks or a single removal spell on one of your larger creatures (when they're finally out) and you're done for.

To address the slowness mentioned in the above comment, I'd just like to point out the inclusion of a few cards in this deck:
Swerve (against spot removal)
Blightning (early game control/burn)
Terminate (for creatures)
Grixis Grimblade as a 2 drop creature.

With all of these in there, I fail to see how its that slow. Perhaps its not as fast as a Jund deck, but as far as I'm concerned, Jund can go jump off a cliff.

You know, there's only one guy who plays Jund at my FNM. And he wins constantly. =/

For the slowness, there's a reason. My goal was to use abhorrant instant and sorcery cards to keep myself alive until KA-BAM! Big nasty creatures OOOR replicating Blightnings with Cloven Casting.

It's slow, but fun. Like a pet turtle! =D

i found out that an all dicard deck can beat it. you just need a good deck with discard of 3 or 4 each.
like blightning. target player takes 3 damage and discards 2 cards. but if you have 4 of them, they can do some heavy damge and the discards will help you too. just dont use it against another discard deck unless your very sure you can win with it.

Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker goes great in this deck. even with Blightning and Cruel Ultimatum. you can only have 1 plainswalker of each on the field at a time. so why do you have 2? deosnt make sense to have them.
