Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (9 cards)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This deck is all about auras and generating token cats.

This deck is a little slow, but Kor and Sage's Reverie will speed it up A LOT and Authority of the Consuls helps slow down your opponent while keeping you alive until you have what you need to win.

As usual, a few fetch lands could speed up the deck. The Evolving Wilds bring in land tapped, which sucks, but this deck is slow. Often, you won't be casting any spells during the first 2 turns. This makes Evolving Wilds an acceptable and cheaper fetch land.

How to Play

This is one of the few decks I play which isn't legal in modern, because of Enlightened Tutor. If you plan to play MODERN, swap these out for one of the cards in the sideboard (or anything else you like - I'm not your boss). Concerted Effort will make Hyena Umbra, Ethereal Armor, and especially Daybreak Coronet give spread their bonuses to your entire cat army. Curse of the Forsaken and Valor in Akros could be triggered a lot by your token generators. Elspeth alone could trigger these 3 times per turn! These 3 cards can be very powerful in the right scenario, but Enlightened Tutor is too good.

Since 10 out of the 14 creatures cost 3, this deck is a little slow. If your opening hand doesn't have either a creature, Enlightened Tutor or Authority of the Consuls, mulligan.

Enlightened Tutor can fetch either an enchantment or Ancient Den. Don't forget this when you're low on mana. This card could make a bad opening hand way better by saying "cast this for the mana you need" or "cast this for the enchantment you need for the combo". If the opening hand has one land, an Enlighted Tutor, and multiple 1 or 2 drops, you might be able to get away with that hand. Pop Enlightened Tutor on turn one and fetch Ancient Den. You'll be set until you draw another land.

Kemba and Kor are the best targets for enchantments, but you could attach something to Brimaz if you're afraid he'll die. Note that Kor doesn't need to be targeted to draw a card! That's almost too good!

Other than these tips, this deck is pretty easy to play. Cast your creatures. Enchant them. Stomp on your opponent with either giant monsters or an army of cats. WIN!

Deck discussion for Catchantments

In order to make this modern legal, how would you replace Enlightened Tutor?

Kemba must be equiped (with artifacts) to create tokens, she doesn't work with auras... :(
