the gift of orzhov and extort are really powerful tools. smite, pacify and purge should keep you safe while trying to take the opponent. I have had wins by smiting the attacking creatures and extorting smite. sacrificing doomed traveler to the aristocrat is helpful early on to put some points on the board or just keeping a blocker alive. Author's note: I have tithe drinker on the sideboard because I only own one of them, If I had 4 of them I would replace the cartel aristocrat.
