Deck Description

This highly inexpensive deck was built with card efficiency in mind. Each instant, sorcery, and ERB effect will be used several times. Control the game until you have 6 mana, then put out Urbis Protector, and flicker it a bunch of times to destroy your opponent with angels.

How to Play

This deck mostly uses "enters the battlefield" effects to control the game. If you soulbond a creature to Deadeye Navigator, you can respond with that creature's ERB effect at instant speed. You can also Cloudshift to flicker it, and Conjurer's Closes gives you another opportunity to flicker at the end of your turn. In a way, this gives you a lot of card advantage since you don't have to play more cards from your hand. Flickering also allows your creatures to dodge removal.

Creatures you can flicker:

Archaeomancer: This is a very important and really cool card. We are using it a bit like a Snapcaster, but we are not limited to using the retrieved spell once. Archaeomancer's ERB effect will mostly be used in response to a spell to retrieve Negate or Essence Scatter to counter it. Of course, it can also be used to get Angelic Edict to get rid of a threat, or even to retrieve Cloudshift if you want to save it for later.

Lyev Skyknight: Obviously, this guy is here to detain stuff whenever you need to.

Finally, Urbis Protecter is our winning bomb. Soulbonded to Deadeye Navigator, you can make several angels per turn, plus maybe another from Conjurer's Closet. Winning won't be far off once you put it down.

In the sideboard is two Negates and two Essence Scatters. Depending on if your opponent has a creature-heavy or creature-light deck, you can sideboard to make a fitting playset of Negates or Essence Scatters. There's also a playset of Redirect, which is great against decks like burn decks, 3x Spare from Evil which is perfect against any non-human deck, and a playset of Cathedral Sanctifiers, which when flickered are highly effective against burn decks and RDW.
