Deck Description

Modern Deck I'm trying to build for the new FNM modern format. The idea is to make it just about impossible for my opponent to win. Ways to do that include:

-Phyrexian Unlife + Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Darksteel Plate
-Palisade Giant + Darksteel Plate
-Pariah + Darksteel Myr or anything with a Darksteel Plate

Suggestions are appreciated, even if you'd like to say that the entire idea is hopelessly bad in Modern.

How to Play

I haven't played this deck since I'm just experimenting right now. The idea is to get any of the above combos onto the field, and then eventually kill them with Azor's Elocutors. I'm pretty sure I need to think of a better win con than that. Please help me. Added Rampant Growth for a little mana ramp, and Faith's Shield and Razor Barrier to prevent removal.

Deck discussion for Invincible Modern Deck

Yes, "the entire idea is hopelessly bad in Modern", and that is basically it really...
It is WAY too slow, your mana curve is backwards, your combos are useless in a format like Modern, you cant protect any of them, your wincon will never resolve and by the time you are even close to playing any of the cards you think will help you are either dead or dominated.
Do yourself a favor and abandon this idea. it is not going anywhere.
Here is a free tip: Take a look at some of the recent Modern tournament top 8 decks online and imagine how your deck project would do against those decks. Not very well I am afraid... Sorry.

I have to disagree with you.

Yes, the deck is a little slow, but the key combo (darksteel myr and pariah) will completely shut down the current top modern decks. Jund has taken a hit in losing bloodbraid elf, and thus has been slowed down enough to get that up.
Kiki-pod and splinter twin literally cant beat that combo once it's up.
Storm cant beat it.

Ultimately, this deck needs work, but pariah on the myr is a good starting point. Keep brewing!

@raginggoblin-
not exactly true. exarch-twin, and storm can just bounce darksteel myr, or phyrexian unlife, and win.

@raginggoblin: I'm not trying to be mean to or martianshark or you but AlleywayJack is totally on the money here as there are WAY to many main board cards played in Modern that will shut this down completely, (without sideboarding anything), for this to be even remotely successful, sorry.

The idea is cute and all but beyond casual it has no life...
