Deck Description

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Tips & Tricks •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

• Combo A: Cast Buried Alive or Discard via Putrid Imp/Hapless researcher ---> To get Bladewing's Thrall / Bloodghast into our graveyard ---> Cast a Changeling (reanimates multiple Bladewing's Thrall) or play a Land (reanimates multiple Bloodghast).

•Combo B: Cast Wind Zendikon on Opponent's Land, then cast Eradicate on it (Kills all your opponents lands).

• Combo C: Cast Wind Zendikon on Griffin Canyon, then make it a griffin using Amoeboid Changeling, then use Griffin Canyon's 2nd ability to itself. Swing for 999/999.

• Combo D: Cast Haakon, Stromgald Scourge then cast Nameless Inversion unlimited times for board swipe, or cast Amoeboid Changeling from your graveyard to Trigger Combo A.

• Problems: Combo Piece for Combo A is sometimes drawn when Combo Piece for Combo B is at your hand. Thus, stalls your game.

• Solution: Diabolic Intent and Intuition. Intuition can be used as a subclass Buried Alive for Combo A, or be used to tutor combo pieces for Combos B, C, & D.

I really like Combo B. I feel like each combo though could be it's own deck really lol.

Yeah, at first, I always have those time where my hands have too many combo pieces but does not belong on the same combo. But it now runs smoothly with Diabolic Intent and Intuition. Thanks!

Imagecrafter + bladwing's thrall combo does not actually work- can't imagecraft until after the creature hits the battlefield, so by the time it is a dragon, you will already have missed the thrall ability's trigger.

Can you elaborate further? Any links? I'm kinda' confuse. I really thought it could since Imagecrafter's ability is instant-speed?

hmm.. this made me think for a moment.

Let me solve the rules conundrum.

Imagecrafter's ability, copied and pasted from gatherer, is this:
[T]: Choose a creature type other than Wall. Target creature becomes that type until end of turn.

The important phrase here is "Target creature".
1. Creatures in hand, graveyard, exile, or library, are called "creature cards". Look at Worldly Tutor, Reanimate, or Ostracize for an example of that.
2. Creatures on the stack, which is where they go after being played and before entering the battlefield, are called "creature spells". Look at Remove Soul, Ancient Ziggurat, or Gaea's Herald for an example of that.
3. Only creatures that are on the battlefield can be referred to as simply "creatures". Look at Murder, Wrath of God, or Giant Growth for good examples of this.

So Imagecrafter can only target cards of the third type, those already on the battlefield. He can only do this after they enter the battlefield. So he can't target a spell (second type) and have it enter the battlefield as the chosen type.

A card that clarifies this is Conspiracy. Read the text on the Time Spiral version and you can see it clearly outline the three types.

Did this help? If you have any questions, please tell me.

That made it a lot clearer now. I'll just use it with Changelings instead. Thanks for the info thewuest! It really helped me.

Very Cool concept. You needed to have your combo out as soon as possible to be effective on the field.

Thanks. Any suggestions?

You can use Changelings. That would be good with Haakon too.

I really love the Wind Zendikon, Eradicate combo. That's just too mean. Haakon, Nameless inversion is such a good creature wiper too.

Haakon allows you to cast Knight Cards. Nameless Inversion is a Tribal Spell with Changeling. So technically, it could be categorized as a Knight Card as well. Thus, making you cast Nameless Inversion as much as you want. Thanks~

i dont follow combo b entirely. it doesnt kill the ones already in play does it? and the name of the creature your removing with eradicate is just what ever the would be? "plains" for example?

It exiles the target land (enchanted with Wind Zendikon), with exception of the other lands play. But the good thing is, it also exiles those that are in the hand and library. If it is a "plains", then all "plains" will be removed (the target land and those that were in the opponents hand and library). Just like a Land Destroyer and Extraction in one combo. Hope that helps.

ahahah another awesome deck those combos are really annoying maybe you can add in echoing truth for combo B another way of pulling it off (not as effective but still annoying as hell)

Good idea. But I think Combo B makes the land a "Creature Land". Which makes it untargettable (can't find the right word) by Echoing Truth. Whereas, Eradicate only needs the target to be a nonblack creature.
But really, that's a nice idea. Thanks Xaeron.

oh yea you are right I didn't really read the it's still a land part, well this deck is already awesome the way it is so :P

This deck is just unfair. That is why I love it. Amazing land destruction with a unique combo bro, destined to cripple whatever opponent you think will be the biggest problem and make them cry, especially if they are running a lot of basic lands.

Ridiculous creature control with the Namless Inversion combo, will take care of ANY indestructible creature provided you can cast it often enough in the same turn. Great use of the Changling subtype ability.

I guess I'm just stating the obvious, but honestly, I'm impressed.

I kind of feel bad for asking, but I'm new to the site (longtime magic player) and would really appreciate comments on the deck I just uploaded. Maybe one day, when I'm a big boy, it'll hit the front page like your deck, lol.
