This is a deck I played at a free FNM event. It went like 2-5. Some of its weakenesses are a lack of overall boardwiping capability. I also opted to sideboard Manor Gargoyle over Curse of Exhaustion owing to my understanding of the meta. Nevertheless, I wanted to put together a deck with humans and giants. Eliza Dushku enjoys listening to They Might Be Giants, so I thought why not work with the Palisade Giant/Ghostly Possession combo. She also played Faith, so I included Bonds of Faith. Perhaps I should, as others suggested, have used Faith's Shield as well. Overall, it is very fun to get the combo of Palisade Giant and Ghostly Possession into play, but it is a difficult combo to pull off as it almost certainly requires two turns to complete. As for the FNM experience, I made plenty of mistakes in play. Some of those were due simply to fatigue as I played until 3 a.m. Somewhere around 1 a.m., I accidentally played Bonds of Faith on my own Spectral Rider. Some rounds were plagued by mana flood and drought- but that happens in Magic. The final match was particularly terrible as I accidentally forgot to restore my sideboard and forfeited the first round to my opponent after disclosing my mistake to him. He won that match 2-0. These are the kind of unfortunate mistakes we make at 2:30 a.m, but he took it in stride. We even played a friendly game post-match (which I lost again). Like most people, I imagine I'm going to make plenty of mistakes at that time of night and it left me wondering why anyone should have to play at such a late time. Despite my poor performance and playing mistakes, I shared plenty of laughs and some good conversation with people at the event. Anyway, here is the deck for your consideration.
