The point of this deck is to get all the big guys out as fast as possible. That's why the "Dark Ritual" and "Cabal Ritual" is found in this deck. With Dark Ritual I'm able to get Vampire Nocturnus or Bloodline Keeper out on turn 2. As for "Ascendant Evincar", he's a very expensive vampire to play. So again, I can use Dark Ritual or Cabal Ritual to ease his cost, or, in this case, use "Chain of Smog" to discard those big guys, and then use "Stitch Together" to bring them back on the field even though they never set foot on it. Since Chain of Smog copies itself, I can then either use it on myself again to fill up my graveyard for Cabal Ritual or Stitch Together, or use it on my opponent. Bloodghast is just a must have. He's a nice little asshole :D. And Liliana is there to get the blue mana out. As soon as I take her out, I immediately have my blue mana.

you should add olivia Voldaren and Stromkirk Captain they will still give you the bust from nocturnus and you can use a few R/B lands ( like dragonskull summit try around 4 ) to play them.
