Deck Description

Fast Mana, small creatures, token creature generators, Essence of the Wild.

Possible scenario (not the best possible, but nice):

Turn 1: Forest, Mana Producer (12 to choose from)
Turn 2: Forest, Mayor of Avabruck, Mana Producer
Turn 3: Land (any)
Turn 3b: Mayor of Avabruck transforms, Ambush Viper (if needed as blocker)
Turn 4: Land (any), Essence of the Wild, end of turn Mayor produces an Essence of the Wild.

It's actually not that unusual to pull this combo off on Turn 4. With Elspeth Tirel or Garruk Relentless churning out Essence of the Wild's, and Midnight Haunting dropping two of them as an instant for 2W, in addition to any Mayor's pumping out 1 per turn (if they hit the board before Essence of the Wild), it can get to be a crowded battlefield fast. I find myself more often using the Green Sun's Zenith to get Mayor's than anything else.

I originally put Mentor the Meek in, but in sample draw-outs didn't find it to be terribly necessary, so I swapped it out for Parallel Lives. More token creatures!

I'd definitely love to get some feedback on this deck.

Deck discussion for Essence of the Wolfpack (suggestions?)

hmmm, I might play more of those planeswalkers, they are great for token generation. As I said in my deck's comment, I don't love essence of the wild, but I can see what you are using it for. You could try hero of bladehold also- if you land one and then an essence the next turn, you are swinging with a 3/4, 2 7/6s, and whatever else you have on the board already.

You could also have jade mage- I originally had it in my deck, but when I took out the llanowars I didn't have enough mana consistently, but in your deck with an essence out it's 3 for a 6/6 and repeatable.

I would recommend putting in more dual lands. Take out the pilgrims since you aren't running that many white mana casting cost cards, replace them with Elvish Archdruids. And as I said on the reply to your comment on my deck, I don't really care for very many creatures in the deck that lose their ability when Essence of the Wild is on the field. However I do like the fact that Ambush Viper has flash so you can cast it during their turn in a pinch.

Good luck with this deck though :) I'd appreciate it if you could take another look at my deck now that I made some changes to it.

I kind of look as the Avacyn's Pilgrims as a mana insurance policy. Yes, they lose their ability if there is an Essence of the Wild in play, but in that case they are still a 6/6 for one mana. The Elvish Archdruids have possibilities, though. I'll have to think about them. If I can get my hands on additional duals, I'll probably use them, but so far mana is pretty solid. As you mentioned, I don't have that much with white mana requirements, so they haven't been needed. With their respective prerequisites for not coming into play tapped, I'm not sure they're what's best for the deck.

Still toying with a couple of Jade Mage's as suggested by @MagicLango above. (Pulled 1 Avacyn and 1 Overrun to make room for testing.)
