Deck Description

This is my version of the Bant Hexproof Auras.

How to Play

The basics of Bant Aruas is simple in that you find the cheapest enchantments that boost you hexproof. In this case with the current set Ethereal Armor, Rancor, Spectral Flight, and Unflinching Courage are it. The rest comes down to which hexproof creatures you want and how many ancillary creature to pair them with. In this case a turn 2 Loxodon Smiter is a must along with a full set of Invisible Stalker. I would agree that 4 Geist of Saint Traft would be best, but it does not beat a Sigarda in the long game and I chose evasion (flying) as a base set for this rather than brute force.

Deck discussion for Hexagonal Auras

I like the addition of Sigarda, however I feel like the deckruns smoother with her in the sideboard. sideboard her in against Esper control and thats about it. Sphinx's Rev serves the mainboard better than Sigarda. also, Im having trouble finding a reason for you to ever side in Thalia...she hurts you as bad as any other deck..

You are right about Thalia. I can see your point on both Sigarda and Shinx's Rev, however I'm going to assume Sigarda is going to act as Bant's version of Thundermaw Hellkite. Once she hits the board it's practically over.

you shouldnt need to have a thundermaw in a deck that has turn 3 win potential, but I can see where youre coming from. I just think Sphinx's is better for stabalizing for a longer game where you cant go off turn 3-4

also, there is absolutely no reason to not be running 1 or 2 Increasing Savagery. turn 3 on a Stalker, its a wrap.

She would easliy be switched out in favor of those Sphinx's Rev in those drawn out protacted matches or even a mirror match which would allow me a huge card advantage in those situations. The other reason she exists is to escape any sac effects which appears to be the most to fear against SB removal.

yes, but the only deck really running any sac effects is Esper Control, and how often do you run into that? honestly, Id rather see another Etheral Armor in my hand than EITHER of those two cards, but thats me...
