That is true, usually it's one or the other; control - or - power. I suppose the Divine Deflection is a big help in that area though.

Thanks !

I like it, but I feel it lacks a mean element ... Nothing super threatening in here imo.

Do you have this deck irl ?

You could make super effective use of the Sunblast Angel if you added Blue and Black to the deck. Check out my Sunblast Assassin deck to see how to do that.

Doesn't Double Strike only apply when facing another creature with First Strike ? I thought that if a creature with Double Strike attacks an opponent it only does damage once.

This is NOT a turn-1 win.

I could be wrong .... But as far as I was concerned, Double Strike DOES NOT affect damage done to players.

Exquisite Blood and/ or Sanguine Bond will make this deck hilarious. Insta-kill, super life gain, or mass damage. They are both great cards by themselves and extremely scary together. I suggest them in this deck.

Perhaps a Diabolic Tutor or 2 for search.

Pacifism could be replaced with Oblivion Ring.

Nice deck, some good inspiration for mine. I myself am trying to build a Bant deck. I am using Jenara as my main creature. Check my deck out ? :)

I have a (experimental) flying bear deck in real life and he is one of my main creatures. His flavor text and Raging Goblin's are great !

Anyways ... Primordial Hydra ? Steal all their lands and drop him next turn to see them cry. :)

Replace Titanic Growth with Giant Growth, it will give your deck a little extra speed and use less mana. The 2 mana for two Giant Growths will net you +6/ +6 rather than just +4/ +4 from a Titanic.

I would take out Acidic Slime, Sluiceway Scorpion, and Nefarox. Replace these with some creatures that can hit hard. (Some creatures to consider... Goultree, Primordial Hydra, Protein Hydra, Glissa the Traitor)

Add a Bow of Nylea. This will make up for the creatures you replace as well as add some versatility. Also Whip of Erebos would be a nice addition.

The Gravepurge and Chromatic Lantern are also unnecessary in my opinion. Consider adding some more useful artifacts like Quietus Spike (again, like the Bow, this will make up for the lack of a natural Deathtouch ability on your creatures, but also has a very mean and useful effect). Elixir of Immortality for sustainability.

Sorry if my comments aren't very much help ! But I try. :)

Goodluck.

I would just like to know what your win condition is ? What is your main combo ?

You don't have much removal for those pesky artifacts and enchantments, so I would replace the Plummet with Crushing Vines.

You might also consider a Fiend Hunter to replace your Banisher Priest. Same effect, except you have more defense with the Fiend Hunter.

I want to try and keep it as creature-less as possible.

Any ideas for what creatures would work best in the deck ? (Red and white only please)
