The point of this deck is to make a wall with the combination of two white cards. There are a couple cards that have the same effects so there is a total of 4 different cards that can create this wall. The Palace Guard and the Wall Of Glare both can block any number of creatures, and the Ghostly Possession and Inviolability can both make them able to take all the damage from all the attacking creatures. This wall isn't invincible and can be destroyed many different ways, but its sole purpose is to hold off the attacks while the red does the direct damage.

Maybe Red sun's zenith instead of Lava axe? It'll give you more recycling burn spells.
