Deck Description

This is the mono black infect deck I came up with. No special creatures in it really, just the average low mana costing ones. I have a total of 12 cards that help to make them HOPEFULLY unblockable. If you are against another black deck this deck will not work. Then I have a couple power ups to help boost up the strength of the unblockable infect creatures.

Deck discussion for Unblockable Infect Deck

Dunno if this deck will work or not.

Suggest you adding Inkmoth Nexus as it is a cheap infect flyer.

When I think of unblockable infect, the first card that comes to mind is Blighted Agent. I sugest adding blue for him and Artful Dodge and if you do add blue you should add in a counterspell of some sort (Mana Leak?).

Other infect creatures with built in combat evasion are Phyrexian Crusader (protection from 2 of the 5 colours) and Whispering Specter (flying).

I find few people play flaying creatures, so Bladed Pinions mite be better than Executioner's Hood. Additionally if the opponent has a flyer to block with, the first strike from Bladed Pinions coupled with the creature's infect will make the flyer smaller before dealing damage to your flyer (assuming it survived the encounter).

Mutegenic growth makes for a nice surprise 2 extra poison counters.

i like the mutagenic growth, but the other two really aren't need. i do like the phyrexian crusader, and was considering throwing him in, but hes a 3 mana costing creature. i like having the ones that cost only 2 mana like Flensermite and Plague Stinger. but like you said he does already have protection from 2 of the 5 colours and really lets hope you arent playing BLACK with this deck or the unblockable spells are useless so he will only have to worry about the green and blue creatures for blockers.

if u want a true budget build, then the only suggestion i have is play 4 mutagenic growth instead of the 4 fear. youd be surprised how many people will let ur guy in if they have a choice because they think ur doing X amount of damge. when u can change x before dmg, then u just win! lol

thats actually the only other card i was debating throwing in this deck, because i could still keep it the mono black and pay the 2 life. The only reason i would throw it in is because its a free cost power up which can help sometimes if you are low on mana. Although the deck is already 64 cards and i actually wanted to get it down to 60 :P so i already have to find 4 cards to take out after i play test it a couple times. some of the unblockable spells like the fear, executioners hood, and gruesome deformity would be the first to go if i found i had too many. i think 12 right now is good, but i really only need to make one of my creatures unblockable and power him up a couple times. it is only 10 poison counters after all. although before i lose the fear, i would take out the executioners hood, because it costs more mana to get on the creature.
