Deck Description

This deck is community deck for a local game store.
It is an extra incentive to make people warm to play pauper.
More info about this incentive can be asked at Albion Kortrijk (Belgium).

THIS LIST IS NOT THE EXACT DECKLIST THAT IS AVAILABLE AS A COMMUNITY DECK!

I’d rate that Pauper Dimir Faeries deck as around a 3 / 5 in terms of difficulty (moderate).

Here’s my reasoning:

Why it’s not “easy” (1–2)
It’s a control / tempo / value-oriented deck: you need to maintain card advantage, manage interaction, know when to deploy threats vs. hold permission.
It requires sequencing and decision making (e.g. prioritizing which threats to counter, how to use draw and removal, tempo plays).
It has some tricky synergies (e.g. ninjutsu, exploiting enter-the-battlefield effects) and you’ll lose if you mis-manage timing.

Why it’s not at the “hard” extreme (4–5)
It doesn’t depend on extremely complex combos or multi-step lines that are fragile.
The deck is fairly streamlined and has a clear game plan (grind value, counter threats, incrementally win) per the deck description.

The mana curve is low, you don’t have to manage a big mana base with lots of fixing, so the complexity of resource balancing is somewhat limited.

The number of situational “if this, then that” line reads is moderate, not overwhelming.

How to Play

This deck is trying to out grind your opponent by having a constant card advantage. As a control deck, in your first turns it's difficult to gain control. After that you want to keep open Counterspell and/or Spellstutter Sprite to counter the treats. By playing Moon-Circuit Hacker and Ninja of the Deep Hours for its ninjutsu ability, you want to exploit certain ETB's (enter the battlefield).
In order, prioritize these creatures:
Spellstutter Sprite to counter
Faerie Miscreant to draw
Faerie Seer to scry
The moment you start out value your opponent is the moment you are starting to win. Try to have patience and only remove or counter things that are a problem for you.

In your openingshand you're looking for mana. Your aim should be playing at least one spell or ability in your turn and one spell in your opponent's turn. Because you have a lot of draw, you'll notice that card advantage can be a way to win.
