Deck discussion for Coralhelm Knight [Modern]

This is a pretty deck, but it doesn't strike me as being all that functional. Much as I love Lotus Cobra (& have a few copies myself), Sylvan Caryatid (or Birds) would serve better. Your Knight has no means to push damage through other than 1 Rogue's Passage which you have no means of searching-up (hello, Scions), & I see no means of casting Emrakul other than hard-cast. With 22 lands in the deck (2 of them fetchlands), & an intent to sac lands for your Knight, it's hard to see that happening. If you dumped spaghetti-head, got more practical w/ your ramp, & added more ways by which your Knight could get through, I could maybe see it...at the same time, I do understand playing certain cards just because you love them (if that's the case here). (And no...I'm not overlooking the Coralhelm/Knight thing. I just don't see that being maximized here.)

One thing that I think might offset the deck in a good way would be finding room for Crucible of Worlds. Combine it with knight and coralhelm and it gets much better. And to help with getting rogues passage, I would suggest sylvan scrying.

Spot-on sagacity.

Ok so let me revise my previous comment. You shouldn't need sylvan scrying since knight can fetch any land using its ability. However, what I said about Crucible still stands. It would make the deck so much more powerful

My bad...the Knight fetches Rogue's passage. Crucible would be nice in the event of land destruction, as well.

Not only that, but you can recycle a basic land that you popped with knight. Tap it to get the mana, sac it, play it again (and trigger cobra if it's out), tap it again and the land you fetched. At minimum you are getting three mana from two land, which is excellent value. That alone makes adding crucible worth it. And not only that, but you're triggering the retreat three times as well, so that's EVEN MORE reason to add it

Wow, I should have looked at this deck more closely before I commented...serves me right for always trying to do 3 things at once. -.- I can def see Emrakul being hard-cast at this point, if all the key pieces are in place. Crucible seems made for this deck, but the list is tight...possibly cut 2 Path?

I would suggest maybe putting the one of spellskite in the sideboard and dropping an elvish visionary or something that isn't contributing to the combo. There's already protection with the counters and such so I don't see spellskite being as necessary

If you KoR+Coralhelm with Lotus Cobra out, you can hardcast Emrakul. That's the goal.

Looks like earliest would be turn 4 for spaghetti.

Correct. T4 Spaghetti is the fastest.

Just remembered a useful card for this deck (if I'm remembering correctly). Wheel of sun and moon.

Wheel is counterintuitive. You need the land in the grave to buff up knight, and wheel would just put it right back into the deck. You would be cycling for nothing

Who doesn't like infinite mana with landfall triggers?
