This deck revolves around Melira, Sylvok Outcast's ability to prevent the acquisition of -1/-1 counters. This ability, when combined with the persist ability and the withering effect of Everlasting Torment makes all of your creatures immune to damage and they will persist indefinitely, creating a formidable wall of creatures.Note that Melira is, herself, quite weak and she will be a target for enemies with creature targeting abilities. Inclusion of some equipment or spells to protect her may be a worth-while addition. Glen Elendra Archmage may stop some of these spells from harming her, but that's not guaranteed.
