The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Ever getting tired of them annoying abilities card triggers? Well, with vanilla, you can just keep it simple, and focus more on the game than on the cards.

Use cards such as Silvercoat Lion and Glory seeker as early game threats. With 5 power, Hexplate Golem is an obvious finisher!

Deck discussion for Vanilla Rage

Awesome, i hate when i have to read the abilities of all my cards and explain them to my opponent D:

Yes, I see your point there, with this deck you don't need to know all fancy rules, you just play and attack for lethal damage!

Ye, you just need to tap your creatures until you win!

I really like the idea of Hexplate Golem as a kind of finisher, it is something that your opponent never expects so I think that when Hexplate Golem resolves it is pretty much gg ^^

Hexplate golem must be the best creature in standard right now!

Yeah, I mean for 7 mana one could have yourself a Karn, but, the 5 power cuts the mustard.

I think it is the biggest sleeper common in Besieged right now, I don't know why people have not seen it before :S

1

Yeah if not the best creature ever, I mean 7 toughness is kind of hard to deal with, you have to pull like 3 lightning bolts !!

2

It has no drawbacks whatsoever! It is just one of the most awesome commons in standard, I think it deservs a mythic spot right away.

I think that he'll become a bomb once Zen rotates, alas he's common, dunno why really?!

You guys should remember Loxodon Wayfarer, you slam it down turn three and then it's a solid 20 turn clock that survives lightning bolts and can't be killed by squadron hawks and other creatures all the "top decks" play!

Also, it's very wallet friendly, so you can easily play 4 in all of your decks. Toughness is really underestimated, OK, You can't kill with it (unless it's a Valakut Fireboar) But, you people also can't kill you ;-)

Yeah I hate it too when I have to read on those damn cards, it's so annoying and tedious!
It's a good thing someone does something to this problem. This is the Magic of the future!!!

Yeah, that's just plain boring, when you could play vanilla and keep things smooth ;)

Hey! Wait a minute... Why is Memnite in this deck!? I mean, it has (or hasn't) something that makes it special!

0
Posted 12 June 2011 at 18:03

ehm, it's because it has no abilities and is therefore supporting the whole idea of the deck?

0

Yeah, but it's special anyhow!

Damn... a lot of comments, but nobody's talking about "Muraganda Petroglyphs"? *sigh* just add it, you'll thank me later.

You are wrong, mikelut named Muraganda Petroglyphs, but then it wouldn't be T2 :/ I'll think about it! (I mean it is a bad ass card after all..)

Nah, too intensive mana cost. Besides for 3 mana you'd rather have a loxodon Wayfarer!

Good idea for a deck I've actually been working on something like this myself. My only few suggestions are to maybe weigh the curve a little bit better and I'm sure there are cards out there that kill creature abilities, so if you threw some of them in there, it wouldn't hurt you at all.

What are you talking about the mana curve is excellent!

0
Posted 13 June 2011 at 14:30

No insult intended, but you only have a couple cards that cost 3 or 4 mana, whereas you have way more that cost larger amounts. Just something to think about. Also, you may want to add in Linvala, Keeper of Silence if you can get one. Excellent to tick off your opponents ;)

Yes that's the point! Nobody expects that! ;)

Dude.. Honor of the Pure and maybe boosters like Giant Growth, Vines of Vastwood for hard hits early in the game... Overrun wouldnt be bad either :D

This would be so boring. Kinda screws the complexity that makes Magic such an awesome game.

Hi, I'm the joke. *flies over your head*

Can't you just sit back and enjoy the beauty of a deck that's too simple to run Storm Crow.

Try Leatherback Baloth, its a high cost for a GW deck, but i thing it worth.

I'm going to undertake the hefty task of teaching my girlfriend to play magic soon and I was going to make a deck just like this to teach her the basics. Good to know it's also a devastatingly powerful deck type.

Good luck! I know most people think this is a simple deck, but to really be able to play it, you gotta go deeper..

Interesting deck, though i'm really concerned at the abundance of flavor text, i'm way to used to seeing cards with so much ability text that they have no flavor text, good deck.

It's not a bad deck, at all. But when you say you hate dealing with triggers and abilities, what that tells people is that you don't know how to keep track of them. I'm sure you do, but really, abilities help a lot. If you're like me, where you love creature destruction, this deck would get owned by the countless Doom Blades and Go for the Throats I've used and have had used on me. Plus, what about flying? With nothing that has flying, and nothing that has reach, and no kill spells, flying will eat you alive. But, it is a pretty good creature-based deck compared to the creature-based deck I tried to build last year.

This deck is only made for fun, it sucks ^^ If you check out my other decks, you'll see that I love abilities, finesse and tricks in my decks! If you really want to build a creature based deck, god damnit let there be abilities ! XD

It appears that some people don't understand that this is a joke, don't you get it? It criticizes all awful cards Wizards of The Coast prints, it's like "Who the hell would want to use these cards in any deck, seriously?"
