I love to play modern tournaments, but until I built this deck my decks for modern were not all that great. This deck is Suuuuuupper cheap to build and honestly when I built this deck i was like "this isn't going to work. After going to my local card shop on legacy night and competing against 5k decks and placing 4th out of about 20 people I was convinced that I loved playing with this deck and it is the most competitive budget deck I've ever played. The main thing about this deck is to either get Delver or Invisible Stalker out and us Grand Architect to equip a few Artifacts on it and start swinging for 8+ each turn. I use vapor snags and unsummons to get rid of big creature or creatures that will allow my opponent to do some crazy stuff haha or at least delay them a bit. I use negate and manna leak for cards like bonfire of the damned and cards that will do some massive damage. Cyclonic rift is a very important card for this deck against token decks and extremely fast aggro decks. Blustersquall is that card in my deck that gets the response " why is that in hear" and i simply say Elves !!. The only two thing s I really use out of the side board is the extra Cyclonic rift and the Blighted Agents. I sub in Blinded agent with delver win I am playing against life gain decks.

since this is modern, i recommend replacing index with serum visions.

I had never heard of that card, but it probably would work better than index in this deck.
as far as i know, serum visions is the best legal 1 cmc cantrip modern has to offer
isnt preordain banned in modern?
Yes it is banned in modern.I just use preordain when I am playing with my friends but when I go to tournament I sup in either Index or serum visions.
