This deck is about generating +1/+1 counters. There aren't any "key" cards, but getting hardened scales early is always a bonus. Every card has something to do with adding +1/+1 counters, whether it involves adding counters or giving abilities to creatures with counters. The idea is that with Ainok-bond kin, Abzan battle priest, Abzan falconer, and Tuskguard capain, you should be able to keep your opponent on their toes by constantly changing the threat type in addition to building up +1/+1 counters.
