I'm tinkering with a BG Spirit deck and there's a few 'tricks' that I've attempted that may interest you. 1) I use Iname, Death Aspect to put spirits into my grave and then cast Living Death. Normally 4x Kokusho, the Evening Star is put into the grave and the battlefield. Living End can be cast off a cascade. 2) Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker could help retain your sacrificial sources, that means not using Long-Forgotten Gohei.
