Pulled a couple Sublime Archangel in packs, so I decided to make an exalted deck. Ideally the Guildgates would be replaced by other dual lands, but I'm a little short on cash right now.
Fairly straight forward, bash with flying/unblockable if you have it. Although the ring is nice on Tormented, I usually put it on Archangel for the regenerate ability.

I like the guardians for blockers though, just in case they manage to get something out that I can't kill or O-Ring.

I really don't like angelic benediction. Unless your opponent has one creature out it usually doesn't help. Maybe if it was cheaper. Besides, if one creature is all that's stopping you from winning, I'd rather another murder. You may like high priest of penance. He's good and not too terribly expensive.
I like that idea. Would you say another Murder and 2 Priests? Also what are your thoughts on Vault of the Archangel? I've been considering putting a couple in.
Yes, one more murder and the high priests maybe more. And yes you should put in the vaults in place of the benediction.
What do you think of essence harvest? It can benefit you in a few ways. First, if you get chump blocked you can still do a lot of damage to your opponent. Second, it's a card that gives you life as well as hurting your opponent. This would help you combat burn decks which are an exalted decks worst enemy. Third, it's two colorless and a black, so it wouldn't be to hard to play with your current land setup.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but since it is a sorcery I wouldn't be able to cast it while my attacker is exalted. Right?
Nevermind, re-read exalted. The question is what would I take out for it?
I think since you have more white creatures than black, you may want to take out Ring of Xathrid for it. Picture this, Sublime Archangel with a knight of glory and infamy and a high priest. You attack with Archangel and they don't have any flying creatures to block with. You play essence harvest and win the game. The other scenario is they do have a flying creature to block. Then you play essence harvest and make a life gap of 20 for three mana.
Yeah, that would be great. But is it worth losing the ability to regenerate the archangel? That's the main reason for the Ring anyway. The extra +1/+1 is just a bonus.
Hmm I suppose. What about Nefarox, how much do you need him in this deck?
He adds more removal and a big finisher for end game. He presents such a large threat that people often target him instead of my archangel and lose the game from it. If the don't do something about him they have to sac every turn AND still have a creature to block with.
OK last try to get essence harvest in, and I'll start by asking you a question. What will you do if you get two tormented souls in the same hand?
Elbrus the binding blade goes good with tormented soul and its not that much harder to summon than nefarox demon
That's not my point, what I'm trying to say is having two tormented souls in the same hand can sometimes be bad in an exalted deck because you wouldn't be able to use both ( at least not with exalted triggering). So perhaps you could put in only two of the Souls and two essence harvests?
Yeah, I can probably take out a Tormented Soul. But I need to be able to draw Souls almost every game. So, I think only one outCha0zm0z - As much fun as Elbrus is I feel like it's a wasted card unless I have a Tormented Soul out.
