Deck Description

Boros is great, and they had a lot of pseudo battle-cry abilities, so i tried throwing a deck together with a couple of new twists like hero of oxid ridge. scourge of nobilis + whatever white/red creature you can attach it to is usually gg, (pumping swift blade merely twice is 10+ damage... yeah) and glory of warfare can help you pump your creatz without over-extending into a sweeper. blistering fast and fun as @#!*% to play.

Deck discussion for The Battle-Cry of Boros

Lightning bolt is a necessity.

what do you suggest taking out for it?

Is intimidation bolt necessary? I realize it's very good burn, but I think for 3, I'd rather play a creature or do something a little more painful. I'd mainboard the bolts and find somethign else for Intimidation. Can you afford to put Hero of Bladehold in here? She's amazing.

i think you're right, i had it in there so i could profitably use sunforger's ability, but i might end up taking them out since this deck runs better with more creatures, and i usually target master warcraft or lightning helix anyway. i'll try hero of bladehold and see how that runs.

If you like dual lands, I would also recommend Boros Garrison. I won't run a non-type 2 red/white deck w/o them. Play it turn 2 or 3 after you've cast something, bounce a reg land to hand, go to town. I like it better than Rugged Prairie, but that's just me.

yeah the bounce lands are great, but my mana base is pretty solid as it is. also, HoB is good, but a bit slow w/out haste, i think i'll keep it out for now

update: sunforger is officially out, it was way to slow to keep up with the rest of the deck, so i replace them and all master warcraft shenanigans for extra removal and finishers like heros and lieges

You need to take 2 Hero of Bladehold out of your sidebord and replace them with Hero of Oxid Ridge so you have 2-2 on both.

thanks for commenting, balefire liege had been underperforming for a while now cause by the time i get him out, i'm outta gas in my hand and i'd rather just cast urabrask. i'm giving HoB a second chance in it's place, we'll see how it goes :)

In:
+2 urabrask
+3 hero of bladehold

out:
-3 balefire liege
-2 ajani vengeant

need as much haste as possible, and urabrask + hero of blade hold sounds extremely sexy :D
